1. I quite liked the stock pups in my 2009 MiM, am I missing something?
2.
one goes up to the guitarist/singer and shouts mid way through a song (like they always do) if she can sing. He smiles and shakes his head, so she moves on to the drummer and yells if she can have a go on the sticks. He shakes his head, she takes one look at yours truly and just walks away... charming.
My guess is a drunk person who can't play instruments may think they can sing or hit drums with sticks , but still know they can't play a stringed instrument.
3. I'm using mark bass 210s to make a 410 run with a little mark II Complete over kill volume wise, but I like having the top cab nearer my ears, you could get away with one though
4.
I liked it a lot. But no mention of where all the money went!
Yes I was hoping that would get a mention Other documentries have suggested Noels departure was something to do with him starting to ask questions
5. Thanks for the replies, and to Dougal for the loan of his 5 String I am now officially keeping my eye out for one , but no rush
6.
Can you make basses that don't look like Fenders?
Disgusting idea
7. Bloody good job there's not a click to Order button
8.
There's nowt wrong with the full site, I like it on my mobile & iPad. If it opens in the mobile site I usually change it to Full after a few mins. Zooming in isn't hard to do.
+1 I use the full version on my phone, it's great, only thing is the messaging doesn't work, but I can switch to mobile for that
9.
Not really understanding his logic, nor wanting to see my JV sold and trashed I pointed him to some cheaper nice MIJ P basses. Strange bloke too!
This also reflects our strange relationships with basses, you effectively lost a sale on your instrument because you didn't want to see it get gigged and become roadworn, nothing wrong or right about it though. I'm only a weekend player, pubs, parties and functions, but I'm getting drawn to a decent (I mean 1.5k, some may consider that low) bass , which is way beyond my needs, but I played one recently and I did notice the quality and playability. If I buy one, is that an indulgence ?
10. Occasionally I dep and if it requires if it requires a rehearsal session, Im never asked to pay, Id apply the same principle to your involvement.
11. Thanks again for the replies Dougal on here has very kindly let be borrow his 5 String, had about an hour on it yesterday and whilst I've imeadiatly started to use the first handful of B string frets it does feel very awkward, I will try it tonight at a band rehearsal for a few songs.
12.
I dont get it?
Check the previous listing
13.
What factors most influence you when making a purchase.
Do I fundamentally like how it looks and sounds Then Can I get some opinions on basschat to back up everything else I already want from it
14. What if you can't play but pay alot, do they just drop in one note or rim shot done by you and credit it ? Can't see how it will save costs
15. Standard P bass, do you want a colour ?
16. I don't understand the threads point ? I brought a 2cv in the 80s, when I took it to work someone asked if I'd just put a lid on my Vespa, that's a pretty good description.
17. Thanks guys, I'll pass on all the new links tonight Hot sauce link now working , cheers
18.
From 3.55....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0pIioIc5lk
Yes, Gil Scott Heron can talk through a whole song and its not only captivating its just as enjoyable as if he was singing, he was an amazing natural talent.
19. The song that got me hooked http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLXHhy_X-FI&feature=youtube_gdata_player This is also cool and fitting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TebUMhJAKSM&feature=youtube_gdata_player
20.
Do you mean to say Jazz FM have started to play jazz?
Didn't jazz fm become smooth?
21. If these questions ever get answered logically it would be rather sad in some ways
22. I do watch it and discover a gem every now and then, much is watch on fast fwd also. What it most certainly is not , is a cutting edge program that will bring us the next Joy Division etc. Almost a modern day TOTP ?
23. Ive created many lines, and gigged them, with limited theory, but boy do I wish I had had the chance to learn music properly when I was younger. Yes it can be done, with limited theory, pop music history proves that, but the more you know, the more tools you have to choose from I guess. Im sure there is a link to your lines within music theory if they sound good, but you just don't see it. Also I think you cant noodle and not refer to theory that you know, as you cant switch your knowledge and mind off?
