What about in reverse, I went to a do where a band where playing that I used to play with, the guitarist then invited me to play a few tunes with them, which meant playing a very nice bass owned by their current bass player that Id never actually met before, I was fairly gone having been out all afternoon celebrating something else, and I felt awkward as I knew I was a little wobbly and could possible knock the bass and knew the bass player had no idea it was going to happen.

As with all these things, you cant deny the ability and skill on show, but few for me would pass as musical enjoyment (obviously the covers stomp and yes etc are great lines replicated beautifully) I cant get beyond bass being a wonderful instrument when playing a line supporting and holding the music together with groove, slap out front style playing just does not capture me, that does mean though I dont respect the skills some have.

unless you need something only a pc can provide, Mac is the answer IMO, although Im sure running windows on a mac is fine, ive never needed to do it There are lots of mac haters, but then again there are lots of precision haters also

Listening to Paul Carrack being interviewed whilst on the M25 today (me not him) Interesting that this song was written about the fact the bands bass player was being poached, not about a girl at all. What a great song with a bass related meaning ... Any others like this ?
