1. Just say nice jesture ped, from my heart and not in order to get a freebie
2. So because you know the chords for guitar in 3 minute pop song, he thinks you are to advanced to play bass ? He obviously has little experience and not just in music Also , not sure id want to be in band where the guitarist is asking people to audition and cant himself know the chords to a kravitz or foo fighters type song.
3. Yep those basslines where special , shame about all the legal stuff that went on
4. What I remember from those days (I was very young) was that punks where the same as every other social group , some punks would kick your head in for no reason, and others had a hippie type outlook, so pretty much the same as mods, skins, casuals , rockers and so on Only difference was the style of dress and music Thought the clash where to clever to be punk (as fantastic as they where) and the pistols where to contrived.
5. great, and what a great gig you've got ! one of my fav all time bands, with City Song up their in my most loved all time songs
6. last audition i did, i picked a handful off their current list , some i knew so i picked those, the band leader specified 2 i had to learn as he wanted to test out certain styles or songs I assume, but it totalled around 6-7 i think NOT 25 ?? Anyway we did end up jamming more after from his list, but by then id done enough, so wasnt worried if i looked silly by not keeping up on songs Id not suggested I knew 25 ? way to many , at least at non pro level

8. Went to a studio room for the first time since january , and there was a trash metal band next door, I think he mic'd is double bass pedal up, we could hear it over our full band, really ruined the session Good luck with the studio build, as others have said, build stud internal walls just off what you have already with cavitys filled with the most dense rockwall or similar you can stuff in will reduce, unless you want to go down a more expensive professional build, but that may be over the top I did my garage like this in my old house and I could get very loud before it travelled into the other rooms , louder than i needed it to be
9. Really loved some of the oasis stuff and his vocal style certainly was special, but this bdi stuff does nothing for me at all, in fact I forwarded it, wonder what the sales are like and who the audience is for it? I'm not ruling out him changing his style and producing something different and special in the future though.
10.
Great aren't they! Global folk fusion. Delighted you like them so much! I'm privileged to play guitar with Sheema, The IV's sitarist (she's also a bassist), she's putting a solo album out later this year and a few of the IV guys are on it too, I just tracked the guitar for some of it. The Imagined Village are wickid live, I hope you manage to catch a show at some point. I'll pass on your lovely comments http://imaginedvillage.com
Yep, that's a nice gig you've got, hope it leads you to increasingly interesting and rewarding places
11. Have just had a very nice chat on skype with Vilem, and he has agreed to send the bass through UPS, I am promising to make a bank transfer as soon as it arrives (£260 including P&P) Just posting this as he is very trusting to do this and I hope this helps him feel confident I will do so.
12.
Was it in Galic? Could have been Horo Gheallaidh from BBC ALBA (Scotland): http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00dry8s Brendan
Great, that looks about right Thanks
13. Thanks but no, it was much less formal, no stages all set in a bar
14. Having a rare no pressure morning listening to music and I have to say The imagined village is simply the best and most inspiring musical project I've been touched by since my youth. That's all
15. Hi Stumbled accross a folk show, jools holland style with acts in various places around the room but set in a bar with the barlady introducing the acts It was fantastic , but it's gone and I can't remember what it was called , on what channel (bbc Ireland ?) Anyone help please.

17.
Pants.
strangely I find that quite a good idea, not many themed pants you can wear as an adult
18. Most of the major things I regret I was not educated enough to know about at the time of importance, so i had no chance to make the right choices, ooh la la Wish id not sold my Littlemark 2
19. Isn't that cheap considering the age of the instrument and the fact that Lemmy is a rock legend ? Was this passed to the BG by Lemmy or has it been previously owned? Im not interested in buying it , just puzzled
20. I am very interested in this bass, just sent you another PM in reply to yours
21. Hope it goes on Iplayer, cheers
