Hi Guys. Looking to trade my newly acquired Musicman Stingray. It´s a 1994 model according to the serial. So it´ll be vintage soon. It´s a gorgeous bass with a lovely natural finish and birdseye maple neck. it is finished with a Black pickguard. All original and beautiful I am just not a fan of the Ray tone-can´t get my head around the active Musicman thing- I´m a passive Precision kinda guy (bar my American Deluxe P of course ). I guess that´s why i sold the SUB too . Condition wise, I´d give her 8.9 out of 10. There is a one and a half lnch long nick, running through the finish on the back (centre) from what I assume was a belt (there when I got it) and some buckle rash (rash also present on the neck plate). Few tiny dings on the front and the chrome on the machine heads has tarnished very slightly (and I do mean-very slightly!) Once again, all this is purely cosmetic (typical of a bass this age )and was there prior to my ownership of the bass and I can assure you the bass plays 110% beautifully! Again, have only had this bass a fortnight, got it in trade with another BC´er. The original reciept from purchase (1996) will be included. The price new was 1,095 Punts / equivalent to €1,394 euro in ´96 There was no hardcase at either initial purchase, or trade, but an SKB case can be provided. Just watched two 93´s and two 95´s go on eBay for between 789 and 948 in the last couple of days (wasn´t sure of the value of a ray from this period) Have now decided to sell too, and will be looking for 880 ono plus P&P. Please note that I am in Ireland but can ship (maybe even travel for the right deal) Please check my feedback here on Basschat... In terms of trades, I would love any of the following: a 70´s Fender Precsion, Black/Black/Maple (dream bass!!!) New American Standard Fenders- Precisions in Black with Maple boards, Sunburst with either boards or Oly white with rosewood. Jazz´s-only looking for white or blizzard with maple board really. Would love a Steve Harris sig bass too- of either model. Gibson Thunderbirds-black or white ideally, maybe VSB. AMP GAS: Ampeg Valves! SVT CL, SVT AV, SVT VR, 2 PRO (ideally US MADE) Small portable rig, so Ampeg VR Micros or Orange TB and Iso cabs also welcome. I am really only interested in what I have listed and if the right trade doesn´t come along, perhaps I will just have to grow to love the Ray sound. Pics will follow as soon as I get my camera back. Edit: Spelling
Thats good, itsalways best to give in to the lure, pointless swimming against the current. I find they are less quick to angler if you go with the flow. Anyways, tis high tide I was back to work

Hi all. Have a pair of US built Ampeg BSE410HLF´s no longer needed. They are both in perfect condition and I do mean perfect! If I had room, I would definately keep them, but unfortunately, that´s not an option, since the rehearsal room and studio now has a Marshall VBA400 full stack and Ampeg SVT 4PRO & 610HLF Solid Ampeg USA (not Asian-made, LOUD Tech) construction. These are the REAL Deal! Silver, tough metal grilles and heavy duty carpet covering-less prone to damage than the SVT Classic series cabinets. Incredible response in both higher and lower bass frequencies-true crystal clarity! Great with 5 and 6 string basses too-can easily handle Low B and High C. These cabs are long since discontinued and highly sought after. They are also more portable than an Ampeg 8x10 : http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=89982 Impedance: 4 ohms Crossover frequency: 4kHz Frequency response: 50Hz-18kHz Horn: Switchable 400W RMS, 800W program power handling Sensitivity: 99dB 22-3/4"W x 25-3/4"H x 17-1/2"D 91 lbs. More info on spec can be got from Ampeg´s discontinued products page at Ampeg.com: http://www.ampeg.com/discontinued.php Please note these are the SE versions which are not listed but share the exact same spec as the BSE410hlf cab-these are cosmetically different (grilles and ports) than the black cabs shown on the spec sheet supplied online. I am based in Ireland but will ship at cost. Price is [s]315 [/s] 275 per cab plus delivery. If someone wants to take both, then perhaps a deal can be worked out. Update: I have a flightcase for one and a padded cover (worth 50 quid) for the other I will genuinely be sad to see these go. will upload pics this afternoon " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> NOW SOLD
Bruce is a really great bloke, there seems to be a new breed of at Fender GBI - Now they seem to be a helpful team of people, rather than moody sods. Anyhow. I'll be getting these ordered the second i get a price. Or, i'll pick up a used Jap one and start modding the crap out of it. Trav
Met most of the team that time and they did seem really nice. My local rep said he´d dealt with some right so&so´s at Fender in his time, but the new lot seemesd fine. Anyways, everyone there was very friendly and it did seem a really great place to work. gutted I missed out in the end. oh well...

Im´ in! Definately got to have one now!!! That was the fastest reply I´ve ever gotten from Fender- including when I was going for my job interview with them!

Great, now I want the acoustic aswell! Many thanks for the link. Cleared things up for me no end. Now to play the waiting game...
I thought the Jaguar had been discontinued from the Fender range? If this is the case, it could move to the Squier range, but more likely than not this is probably someone's wishful thinking.
No, it is still being offered AFAIK. Though there only seems to be Oly White and Burst finishes listed anywhere onlne. Havent seen a red one new for sale in a long time But yeah, a Squier with stack knobs and a nicer neck than the Fender- I knew the VM series were good, but I find this a little suss...

Been searching for ages now. Cant find anything anywhere. My guess is this looks too good to be true (fender would never allow this, would they?!) ...
I'm not sure if your effects look cosy or smothered!! Good idea though.
They are definately snug as a bug. Foam was cut to shape and has a removable block of foam above each pedal allowing easy removal/replacement.
It's certainly an original approach - and seems quite sensible too.
Thanks, Just something my tech and I were messing with. It´s the envy of every guitarist who´s seen it so far Bassically, it was cheaper than a big Diago or something similar. All it cost was specal glue and a few cheap stanley blades.
A little gravestone over the Zombie Snot would look awesome!
I am already working on it! The Zombie Snot is just an LPB-1 with a few mods-in and out. Amazing little pedal!

Holy hell! I want it now! Where did you find this?
