Considering letting this go for the right price. US made Ampeg digital 4 channel amp. 500watts at 2 ohms and all in a handy, light, 2u rack-sized unit! What more do you really need? Digital controls-LED displays look amazing on stage! 4 Fully programmable/customisable channels-save the ideal eq settings for each of your basses! no messing around at gigs. Twin inputs allow two basses to be connected at the same time-saving the need to swap cables etc. All channels accesable via four-way footswitch. These were the last US designed and built amps before Ampeg sold to LOUD Tech and moved to Asia (minus the new Heritage series obviously). Soundwise-thise really does it all. Can get good SVT sounds. Have A/B´d this with the 3 PRO and picked this in the end. It isn´t as one-dimensional as the 3PRO in terms of achievable sounds and it goes down to 2ohms (seeing as all my cabs are 4 ohm) Not a scratch on it, has been in a rack since day one (I bought new). Only gigged a handful of times and never abused. Unfortunately I do not have the original box, but will include the manual and matching Ampeg MIDI footswitch. Please Note: Neither the 4U Rack case nor Fender Rack Tuner are for sale. This is for the AMP ONLY!!! Looking for offers around the [s]420 mark[/s] now 400+ shipping. Based in Ireland. Many thanks for looking, Colin " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" />

Hi, Selling on another bass I rarely get to use. Comes with an original vintage 1960's Fender case (not a new/reissue one!) which cost a lot to get a few months ago! List Price on Thomann is over €700 without case-case is 180 euros and mine is a proper vintage one, not a reissue! Now Including Fender Neoprene strap and locks! It is in fantastic ondition. no issues whatsoever! Only one tiny (I do mean tiny) nick shown in pics. No buckle rash. Was only used for a few hours here and there. The pic of the back shows what looks like a mark-it isn´t, its clean as a very clean whistle. Again, no rush to sell this so if I dont get near asking, I'll keep it-doesn't take up that much space! Not interested in any other items at present, so not not keen on trades (plus I´m in Ireland so it´d be a pain) Looking for £430 + shipping (based in Ireland) ps, see my other listing for a MM SUB ´Emergenza Edition´ w/ case -450 pounds+shipping " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> Colin edited for price drop

Surplus to requirements USA made Musicman SUB bass 4 String Active, on board EQ Burgundy Red colour Black pickguard (It did not come with a diamond plate one like the standard model) This is from a special run of the S.U.B. basses- it is the Emergenza Edition- it was a prize at the Italian Emergenza Festival and has special logo and graphic as part of the finish on the back (nothing on the front). These were made especially for this battle of the bands competition (as Ernie Ball was the main guitar sponsor) and was never for sale in shops. Feel free to Google it Great condition, few tiny nicks here and there. One tin on the tip of headstock and one on the lower bout of the body. May need new strings and a quick set up (hasnt been done in a long time). There's also a sticker on the pickguard, but it can be easily removed without leaving marks. I will include a Warwick Rockcase heavy duty flight case- the BIG cases, leather strap and Ernie Ball cable. Priced to sell at 435 plus shipping (I am based in Ireland) I'm in no rush to sell, so won't be moving too much on the price-would be nice to give her to a good home though and free up some space! Not interested in trades AT ALL!!-have way too many basses, amps and guitars as is pics to follow in the next few days Thanks for looking, Colin " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> " class="ipsImage" /> Edited for price drop

Anyone ever bought a prized instrument from Cash Converters?
I am looking into changing the scratchplate, have you any pictures of yours with the black pg.
No individual shot of it, but I have one or two in a group shot here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=my+family As you can see, I put a Lucky 13 red decal over the pg, but it only covers a tiny bit-you get the idea They are lovely basses-well done again -
I've jettisoned the low "B" string.

Good move. and +1 for doing so I did this last year on my Gibson Thunderbird Studio V and I have to say, I love it. Never liked the low b sound- too heavy metal or something I bought a set of D´Addarios Chromes 6 (for 6er bass) and just didnt use the last one Love the sound of my T-Bird now! It suits the kind of stuff I´m playing with the bands now perfectly. Never had a 5 string before that, but am starting to use it live more and more now. Will have to get a 5 string Fender though if I decide to use a 5er as my main bass-have to keep up appearances as ´the Fender guy´! -
I bought this on Saturday for £99.99
Have the same one in the same fiinish. Great basses. well done on the price man! Stick a black pg on her though-looks much cooler -
named em all-all girl´s names too. Cant help it. My first one I named cause there was a story to it, the rest just sort of happened- some basses have character and that gives rise to the imagining of a personality- and the names reflect the percieved personality- at least for me anyways

it´s basically a series/paralell switch. On a P Bass, once activated, it makes it sound more like a Jazzbass. The opposite is true for the Jazz. Simples Oh, and it hasn´t anything to do with active circuits so, yeah, if it´s off, you have a passive P Bass tone. On, you have a passive Jazz(ish) tone. Here´s a link: http://www.fender.com/features/s1/ Hope that helps, Colin
Hey guys - a good friend of mine has said he can get hold Orange bass heads/cabs at knock-down prices (all perfectly legit, I promise! ). I'm playing in a rock/pop/alternative 5-piece, nothing too heavy but the bass sound I'm looking forward to is a decent punchy bottome-end with nice rounded mid to high end tone. I play a Status Graphite Series I, originally through a Trace Elliott AH300-12 (sadly now defunct) and a Peavey 4 x 10 cab. I'm looking to play small to medium-sized venues for now. For those of you who know the Orange amps, would the Terror bass 500 head carry enough punch for these size venues (I presume at 500W it would be!) and is it suitable for the tone I'm looking for? Ideally I'm looking to avoid that "metallic" sound that some amps naturally produce (eg Ampeg). Any thoughts much appreciated! Dave
What´s he reckon a ´knock down price´ for these is then? Where´s he getting them from. Am looking for a Terror Bass aswell.

As someone who has 2x410s and 2x412s- go with the 12´s! much bigger sound! Always loved 10´s, but the 12´s just have something more IMO.

Sieanna Sunburst I do believe. I have a 78 Precision in that colour.
-
Had one for about 6 months (the first run of 100w 1x15 ones) No problems with volume- seriously loud. Sold it on, but wish i had kept it sometimes, just for small gigs and that. Well worth the lttle money involved.

Ampeg 8x10 saves lives in car crash...
basshead56 replied to wateroftyne's topic in General Discussion
Lucky it wasn´t a pair of 4x10s! Hope Ampeg send him a new one after that! -
Bought Steviedee's Palatino EUB. It arrived this morning in tip top condition, only put it down to type this! A gentleman to deal with, would easily recommend him as a seller!

Looking for advice on expanding my Ampeg setup

If nothing else, you've saved me cooking my amp!!!
Ah, sorry, wasn´t picking up on that-was fairly tired at that stage Best of luck with t And let us know what u decide to do -
My vote would be 1)VBA400- Amazing.Nuff said. 2) Ampeg SVT 3) Orange 4) Mesa Boogie 400+
Hi, Yes I think thats right. The SVT -410HLF is also the only single (smallish!) 4 ohm cab in the range I'm also frustrated as I need single 4 ohm cab for my SVT amp, I wish some of thier other cabs were 4 Ohm. or the SVT amps has a 8 Ohm output tap for more versatility. Cheers Neil
There are only 2 4ohm 4x10s in Ampeg´s current range, but there were loads of 4ohm cabs up until recently-blame LOUD Tech I guess. There was the BXT410HLF, The BSE410HLF (I have 2 of them), the current B410HLF also. And of ourse the 8x10- all 4ohm cabs. There was also an SVT18 cab at 4 ohm (anyone selling one-NAME YOUR PRICE!!!) I wish Ampegs had a three way impedance selector though-2,4 or 8 ohms-infinite cab config options. And yeah, wish my BSE410HLF-SEs had the grab bars and kick plates that their SVT counterparts have. Still, the flghtcases will have to do. Also, IMO, the best US made 4x10 Ampeg have EVER done! And they look fantastic-love the ´Merc´ type badges on the front! The SVT Classic series is just that-Classc, but knd of boring looking. I much prefer Ampegs with Silver/blue fronts-much cooler and much more vintage/retro looking! Would love to get hold of the SVT-AV and matching 8x10- Old-School Ampeg look and sound! In the words of the prophet MC Hammer, ´Proper!´
