Most of these sentiments seem to be similar of my experience with the MS-3. Most of the sounds were great, loved having the Defretted and Slow Gear sounds back after selling my ME-50B. But I found the workflow quite fiddley, gave up doing it on the unit as it took too long, so did it on the Mac Librarian software.....and even then couldn't get it to do what I wanted.....oh well. Great sounds (mostly), but just a bit difficult to use. Sticking with my Line6 M5 for now. Si

I have a couple of M80 cases and think they're excellent, best balancing case ever when you're carrying using the side handle. I don't have the discomfort when wearing both straps, but then i'm not overly broad and only 5'10", so very comfortable to me. My only minor gripe is that I wish they had a tad more padding in the bottom, but I think that probably just means I'd be a littler better suited to the Vertigo. Will look at that closer if and when they need replacing. I also have a Fusion F1 bag which is excellent for the money, really good alternatives to the M80, although not quite as comfortable strapped on for me. Si

Maybe try and have a word with Mike Flynn, if you're friends with him on Facebook etc. He's just finished some recording with the X1S and seemed very happy with it from what I gather. [/quote] It's a slippery slope, you'll get better 'studio' sounding results with a condenser, which are just a lot more sensitive than a dynamic mic, but you'll then get better results by using a reflection filter, and better results with an acoustically treated room etc etc. Fortunately a decent condenser can be had for not much money. Lots of people rave about the Rode NT1A as a decent place to start, the sE Electronics X1A & X1S (especially the X1S Studio Bundle) are also great places to start. Si

There should be no issues with hot pickups with the Gen 1 6i6. The only Gen 1 Scarlett that some people had an issue with in that regard was the 2i2, and that was changed in the Gen 2. I can't really add anything to what Tech Support told you above, so enjoy Si // Focusrite Media Relations

I find my '71 Precision with Chromes, to my Markbass LM800 (flat eq) is perfect tone! I never quite liked Jazz basses with flats, had a '73 Jazz that I had Roto flats on a few years ago, just didn't work for me! Si
