1. I have an original VB-2 and if they have really captured that, then the VB-2w will be awesome Si
2. What's the routing under the scracthplate like? I think the JVs (and Japanese in general) don't have any other routing like the new USA/Mexi ones right? Essentially, could you run it without a scratchplate? Cheers Si
3. Ah that's a shame that it's going . Deal with confidence though guys, Pete is a dude! Si
4. Price drop £40 + postage Si
5. Boss OC-2 or COG T-16, easy choices! Not sure about compressors, I do my really use them, but the MXR gets a lot of love. It's much less refined, but I do still love the old CS-2 in front of drive pedals, but a different use to most people's use for a compressor. Si
6. I couldn't have both at the mo unfortunately.....and I don't think the '71 is going anywhere, it's just......me GLWTS, will make someone very happy Si
7. Yeah if we want more of an approximation, wire your Jazz bass in series. The other benefit of this is that you get a single volume control, my pet hate is two volume controls lol Si
8. Mmmmmm, happiness is a warm P! As much as the '65 has me revisiting my 'I'd like a 60's Precision' feelings again, I'm not quite sure it's enough for me to move on my '71 P.......hmmmmm Si
9.
Are they doing flats yet ?
Not when I spoke to Neil a couple of months ago, they were still exploring and researching them Soon hopefully Si
10. Yeah mines going to say, I've built a couple of clones of the guitar version (one assumes the same widely available schematic as what this Chinese company used, and the bass response were most definitely different to my BB Bass Pre Si
11. The Xotic XP-1T 5 string is definitely worth a look. Probably on the top of your budget (unless you can find a used one), but they make really great basses! http://thebassgallery.com/index.php/bass/5-string/xp-1t-5-string.html Si
12. I have an XJ-1T 5 'Lightweight', and Xotic just make superb basses!! Buy with confidence Si
13. Or just order a Limelight or Maruszczyk? Would be an easy spec to recreate Si
14. Oh man, having a 'missing my Fodera' moment. One day I'll have another Imperial 5, or perhaps a Monarch 4 Si
15. Cheers guys! Typically I have a Line6 M5 but use it on a different board. The Wolfbliss stuff is amazing, but a bit overkill for me. The Old Ibanez Phaser I'm ysing is fine for now, but looking to pick up a PH-3 I think. Cheers Si
16.
='Sibob' What were peoples email response times from them recently? I sent an email via their webform last week (wednesday I think), no reply yet. Cheers Si MB1. Bit Neanderthal in this day and age like... But Try phoning them +44 (0) 1924 44 22 44
It's on my to-do list, but what's the point of a contact form if it doesn't successfully make contact lol Will report back Si

Reverb Pedals

If you're looking for interesting and really lush reverbs, check out the different offerings from Mr Black, really nice shimmering and modulated reverbs. If you want to spend a bit of money, easily the best on the market (to my ears) are the Strymon offerings, the Blue Sky and specifically the Big Sky. Si
18. If someone is not interested in hearing any other options other than the two options they initially supply......don't ask on a forum Si
19. Yeah, few of us in the Hatfield area, welcome Si
20. Lovely bit of Rosewood too Si
21. What were peoples email response times from them recently? I sent an email via their webform last week (wednesday I think), no reply yet. Cheers Si
22. I've liked this since it was announced/released, and with my change in preferences, the spec is spot on. If I had cause to buy another 5 string, and there wasn't the money for a Fodera or Elrick, this would likely be the choice! Si
23. It sounds like you can simply open the For Sale forum, close your eyes and buy the first thing you point to (obviously re-trying the exercise until you hit your budget!) Si
24. What's the budget? What kinds of basses do you like (shape, sound etc), 4-5-6 string? What kind of music do you play? Si
