  1. I have a DC5 and would quite like to upgrade it to the DC7, it's not really a financial priority, but I think Cioks really do have the power-bank market sewn up with regards to features and quality. Si
  2. I had a very similar issue with my 1971 Precision, one side of the pickup died during lockdown, just randomly (as they do): I considered replacing the pickup and leaving the original.....well..."original". But I came to the conclusion of 'why leave something original if it's ultimately useless'. So I had Aaron Armstrong rewind it to vintage spec, cost was around half of a new pickup (as only one side needed doing), if the other coil also needs rewinding, you're looking at a similar cost to a new pickup. I would highly highly recommend Aaron Armstrong. Si
  3. Bless ‘em, the wheels really fell off when they started talking about scale length 😅 Si
  4. To be fair, if you Google Fodera, the first site that comes up is there's and in the title it says "Handmade In Brooklyn". Si
  5. Fantastic drive pedal, I still have the prototype that Tom and I devised, can't say that it's going anywhere! Si
  6. This was the exact rig I rocked for a number of years, probably mid-2000's to early 2010's....something like that?! Even down to the UK built aspect of all three. I found the head to be a delight, albeit large and heavy. The cabs were fine as a pair, but I personally found them to be lacking individually (on a gig that is), it certainly taught me that rear-ported is not for me. Si
  7. It looks like a stripped finish, partly because of the wood combinations used for the body (not perfect matches), plus they didn’t (to my knowledge) offer natural finishes in 1968. So you’re obviously looking at less than a fully original example, but still a nice looking bass. Si
  8. Sorted - Anyone close to Neston/Corsham in Wiltshire?

      You have a PM.

  9. Little clear out: MXR Vintage Bass Octave - SOLD. Very cool, and accurate, approximation of the OC-2, with more useful features and a smaller 1590A format. Great condition, No box and Velcro on the bottom, so cheap price. Works perfectly. Fuzzrocious Demon - SOLD This is a stock Demon from the ‘OSD’ days (before Fulltone got funny about the name), art is that of a Hannya mask, hence the ‘Oh She Demon’, clever huh. Excellent condition, never gigged. No box. Chord BOD-50 - £20 Decent copy of the Boss ODB-3. Excellent condition, boxed. £5 delivery or free shipping if you buy them all haha. No trades. Cheers Si
  10. Yeah First Gen Scarletts are fine on Windows 10 and 11 (as per our compatibility page here: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4403683106066-Focusrite-product-compatibility-with-Windows-11), and as you say, you'll just get that relevant driver from our Downloads page. So hopefully, you'll be all sorted Si
  11. All about the P bass for me, in almost every setting. I can stretch to a decent P/J.....as long as it's a J pickup on a P body/spec haha. Si
  12. Indeed, I know that all our USB products (Focusrite and Novation) are class compliant on Mac, but require USB drivers on Windows. I believe that is also a fairly reasonable rule of thumb for other audio gear too from what I've seen, although I do seem to remember seeing some gear being class compliant on Windows, but I think that might be the exception rather than the rule. Sansamp advice

I think with a lot of the Sansamp suggested settings, they’re set to full on the blend control (ie no clean bass sound). I know that the key with the original Sansamp to get the mids working for you again (which kind sounds like the issue here) is to start to bring that blend control in, tried that? Si
  14. Also just bear in mind that PC's are somewhat of a minefield with regards to their parts and those parts compatibility with recording gear. Places like Scan do their best to put together machines where all the composite parts work together nicely, but then add in more 3rd party music gear which require drivers to play nicely with the PC's hardware and it can become tough. It's why many people choose to work on Mac when it comes to Audio. This isn't a "you should swap to Mac" post, more to make sure you look at what the PC is made up of, and whether that hardware/drivers are fully compatible without issue with the recording gear you have/are planning to use. Si
  15. It does make you think that the Ignition models are more preferable to the CT ones, especially the new Ignition SE, which seems to include the 'correct' knobs and a few other bits. For just over £300, not too shabby to approximate THAT sound. Still prefer the Club models though, especially the black one. Si
  16. Ooohhhh I should have bought this when it was attached to the body 😥 GLWTS Si
  17. I looked at it, but didn’t have the weight listed, and didn’t mention about the state of the truss rod etc. I’m not in a rush. Great price if it’s solid though! Si
  18. Back home from surgery, time to browse the classifieds? 😂

Stylish… I was more thinking whatever you find in the classifieds!

  19. That’s one way of putting it. Si
  20. I had it in my head that it wasn't the original finish, and so filling the pickup routs and respraying would potentially be on the cards......clearly it's not haha. Going for a Nick Campbell Musicmaster vibe? @ped? Si
  21. Sorry, to be clear.....the plan is to put it back to the original spec? 🤞 Si
  22. They were the last Harley Benton's basically, before them it was SX (although mainly in the US). And so the world turns Si
  23. Yeah just Google and images of old packaging doing you dirty. The image to the left is their new packaging. They only do one guage of LTF's as well, so all you have to do it pick 4 or 5 string....nice and easy haha. Cheers Si
  24. Where are you looking? La Bella only sell one 'type' of Low Tension flats: https://www.labella.com/product/ltf-4a/ Almost certainly just a difference in wording/ old packaging or similar. Si
  25. How do people feel about P/J vs soapbars on 4 string Spectors? Not really talking tonally, more physical feel, while playing (probably more for finger players that question). Si
