1. Hi all, Continuing a little ongoing clear-out, and because 4 pedalboards is overkill right now (I only need 3 ) here is my PedalTrain Mini. 9/10 condition, gigged a couple of times, and comes with velcro attached to it. Soft case included obviously SOLD Si
2. I have an M5 sat alongside my MXR Bass Envelope Filter, OC-2 and a drive pedal, and that is such a great combination of pedals! Si
3. Yeah, or just keep an eye out for the Whambo adapter second hand perhaps Si
4.
I think that will only work with the newer Whammy pedals which take DC power.... the older ones needed AC
Ah ok, well, drop Gig-Rig an email, there doesn't seem to be much they can't accommodate Si
5. A Gig-Rig Timelord adapter will do the trick I think. This means you'll be able to power the Whammy from whatever power supply you eventually choose (assuming it provides enough MA). Even if you're daisy chaining your pedal power, the TimeLord will then isolate what's being sent to the Whammy (which often helps with digital pedals). Perfec' Si
6.
That Shuker!
It certainly is a beauty!! Si
7. 2016 family: In a few weeks, I'll be adding a human baby to this, so I anticipate this little lot won't change in a good long while Si
8.
Hi, Yes I did but not sure if Shall I make it public... Problem solved at my end - bass has been sold. Neck re fretted more-less with the same results... Its an old case but wonder if I`m the only unlucky guy...
Certainly quite odd, the frets on mine are perfect! Si
9. Saw Alan post this earlier, it's going to be a peach, one of my favourite ACGs ever I think Si
10.
Yeah, I thought Michael League would be realistic as he will be actually touring the UK at the time and having the weekend off BTW, I'm going to his (well, Bill Laurance's) gig at Ronnie's on Monday after LBGS, anyone else?
Don't think Michael is on the Euro dates bud Si
11. Yeah, Michael League, Pino, Richard Bona, Esperanza Spalding, Bobby Vega. Lots of amazing players to work through, lets hope the show continues for many years to fit them all in Si
12.
Did anyone else read these two posts and think ... WTF? The bass player for "one of the biggest metal bands in the world" is also "the guitar/amp tech" at a [s]shop[/s] Studio in Watford? This is the same studio where Robert Trujillo is a shop assistant, right?
Probably doesn't do a great deal of tech work now, but yep, cool huh Si
13.
Elaine & I will be on hand to answer any D'Addario related enquiries. Come and see us on stand D12 to try out NYXL Bass.
Had it in my head you guys weren't attending......the above is great news Si
14.
He's also the guitar/amp tech at Titan Studios Watford too I think. Pretty sure he serviced my amp.
Yeah, him and Steve Sears were in Cry For Silence together. Si
15. Just had a second Maruszczyk PES40 strap turn up, seriously amazing straps for the price. Si
16.
Posted on the Statii forum: *** Hot News *** Slipknot bass player Alex 'V-MAN' Venturella will be around our stand on Saturday at 1.00. Bring your camera !
In case people didn't know, he's a Watford lad (or around that area anyway) and Slipknot are one of the biggest (American) metal bands in the world Si
17. I've got a Nano POG which is great for this, and whilst I'm happy with that, I've just got a Line6 M5, and the pitch glide on that thing is amazing. Up and down pitches sound fantastic. Si
18.
Voodoo Labs http://www.voodoolab.com/shop/index.php?cPath=22_24_28&osCsid=l8nsrlfs78ktqits54horqi9p5
Wow, 18" lol Si
19. Yup, love mine! I even ordered another PES40 strap for my Shuker, amazing straps! Si
20. Trying to think what I'd change about my Jake (which would cause me to order another), and I really can't think of anything. Perhaps I'd specify a Hipshot bridge instead of the stock one, but it's not a big deal, certainly not worth a new build lol. In fact i wonder how the screw spacing of the stock bridge compares to Hipshot replacements?! Awesome bass Si
21. Yup. i'm in for the Jaco viewing! I knew if I waited, I'd get to sit in a room full of other bassists and watch it lol Si
22.
Is your humbucker a Haussell too, Si..?
Yes I'm going to lower it a tiny bit, like you said, and wire in the push/pull for single coil (as mine was hardwired to hb), will help in higher gain settings.
23.
Loving the bass guys, but my intonation is off due to it being inside a van. It's one of the Hipshot A style bridges and I can't seem to find a way of changing the intonation? Anyone know how to do this?
Just a screw at the back beside each ball-end isn't it? Si
24. You want to get yourself some right-angle power cables Twigman Si
25. I would echo this, the Haeussel Precision pickup in mine is warm and vintagy, very much like my '71 Precision. The Humbucker is hotttttt, but sounds brilliant. Si
