1.
You would have thought they would have slotted the battery in sideways at the edge, rather than taking all that room. I wonder how long it will be before batteries are completely fazed out....
Not sure why anyone would use a battery over mains power. Terrible for the environment too (disposing of). T-Rex pedals side-mounted their batteries in their recent pedal run, means the footswitch is off-centre, but also means jacks can be too mounted, a decent solution: That said, the knobs are higher over the jacks too, so I imagine the T-Rex have a deeper enclosure to allow that. In any case, I wouldn't buy a Dr Green pedal Si
  2.
Just checked that, what an awful design! Just seems pointless too, I can't imagine there is any innards below that switch, looks like it was put there for aesthetic reasons?
Footswitch is high to allow room for a battery, knobs are low to allow top-mounted jacks. Just a bad combination of features is all. Si
  3. I don't think they particularly lit many peoples fires. The problem I had with them, on a few of the models, is the proximity of the footswitch to the knobs. The bearded lady fuzz for example, stupid close, totally not a gigable pedal. Si
  4. Hi guys, I have a Novation Xio Synth 25 for sale. This is a hard synth (has it's own, very good, sounds) but can also be used as a midi controller, as well as an interface to connect and record an instrument (guitar/bass etc) to your computer. Here's a load of blurb: http://www.sweetwate...tail/XioSynth25 Lots of sounds are available, as well as all the drivers and software you need still: http://uk.novationmu...ads?product=Xio Mine is in great condition, boxed, instructions, power supply. Pictures available if required. SOLD Thanks Si
  5. They're really easy and cheap to make if you know your way around a drill and a soldering iron. 1590a enclosures can be fiddly though. Si
  6.
Cool, might be worth waiting for this to keep the cost, price and size down: http://www.talkbass....g-nano.1130297/
Horrah.......now......how long do I have to wait for a 1590a version? Si
  7.
Just for the sake of clarity "weedy" was referring to the POG's octave up.
Yup, no worries, understood I'm not a fan of analogue octave ups, as mentioned, the inherent added distortion does nothing for me.
Someone clever needs to build a unit with an oc-2 style analogue octave down, but with a POG type digital octave up. That would sell!
This might break the internet if created! . I'd buy one in an instant. If someone had the inclination, rehousing an OC2 and a POG, with only the controls for the POGs up octave could be doable. Wouldn't be small though. Si
  8.
No diss to you Si but I found the POG to sound weedy and real artificial with a noticable latency... Horses/courses. Peace.
None taken All octave ups sound artificial, but to my ears, the POG sounds the least of all of them (Whammy aside). Weedy, hmmm, not sure about that, but then I don't think I'd want anything that overpowers the original signal?! Depends on the application I guess . The low octave is definitely weedy compared to the OC2. Boyo from Royal Blood gets a decent sound from them (albeit POG 2 rather than Micro POG). Si
  9.
There is a immaculate first year production Oc2 on E Bay..Now!!! its in japan but nothing sounds like them..& worth the dosh...I.M.O
Ooof, that is mint!! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=271744304686 If I was still in my OC-2 buying phase, that'd be a catch . I'm down to four though! Si
  10. Checkout the T1M modded POG, you can buy direct, with him adding the mod for you. Gives you two presets, one per footswitch. IMO, the POG is the best octave up out there, and the octave down is good, but not on par with the OC2, which is the only reason I don't have a T1M modded one. http://this1smyne.com/shop/micropogpresetmod/ Si
  11.
You'll recognize me by my Mono gigbag and drooling face.
That pretty much describes everyone haha Si

  13. I'll be there on the Saturday, then playing the Jazz Cafe in the evening.......all with a pretty fresh new sleeve tattoo started :-P Be gentle! Very much looking forward to Divinity! Si
  14. No worries Weirdly, I did originally have an Orbit in that list, a custom one with a blend. But got sold to a member on here (who I think was selling it on, so maybe have a search for it) Si
  15. Looking for any trades? Potentially interested in the Malekko: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/249105-pedal-cull-boss-dod-sonic-kitchen-dha-further-reductions/ No worries if not, worth an ask Cheers Si
  16.
I have no beef with the looks! Cracking value for money.
That's a beauty! I like my sunburst, but a white one would be cool! Si
  17.
A '69 CAR refin with Simon's fretless neck on it . Nice neck Simon , straight as an arrow.
Wow that looks great!! Glad the neck is being put to good use! Cheers Si

    Ampeg SCR-DI

I'd rather use a 3leaf Enabler (smaller footprint) and a drive pedal of my choice. Si
  19. Bump with further reductions!! Si
  20. Just get two OC-2s......BOOM....SOLVED Si
  21. Not really. A few people have cloned it as one-offs, but not added features. There's a few 'synth' mods you can make to it. The afformentioned 3Leaf Octavbre gets about 90% of the way there I think, with the synthy direct-less setting on another footswitch, I've not tried the Octavbre, but videos to me sound a little less subby than the OC-2 Si
  22. NAMM = Not Available, Maybe May lol
