2. I managed to collect my raffle prize from Mick at the weekend. Thanks very much guys, was a nice surprise to get that PM later that day, funny that I only mentioned a couple of options to Colin on my way out and if not re-draw it, managed to get my first choice. Lovely stuff lol Si
3. Damn right I should be told.........do these OC-2 owners not know who I am? lol Si
4. All updated http://simonpoulton.tumblr.com/ Simon, yours are August 1993 & December 1994 if you're interested. Si
5. Thanks Nik, the top board is just my main gigging board. The bigger board I put together for the bash which is largely ambient sounds and looping. Si
6.
That's none of my business. He's a mate, I'm not his business manager. However, I do have his mobile number if that would be helpful. PM me if you would like it.
It was more of a rhetorical question to make a point, I have his address, email address and number and ignores them all (so far anyway) But thank-you anyway Si
7. Yeah I had my ACG Finn SC 5string there, it was in the 'quiet' amp room, with my looping setup etc . Partly spotted in this pic I took on the day: Si
8. I can't think of anything worse than owning two 4x10s. 8x10" speakers? Eugh. If there's a monitoring issue then angle your can up at yourself (plenty of gadgets for that). My 'full stack' is a 1x15 & a 1x12 and I bet I can get as 'loud' as two 4x10s. Actually I lie, the above config is what I use week in, week out.....my FULLfull stack is two 15" cabs....very rarely get to use it, that's proper tone with a P-bass though. If I was made to own a 4x10, I'd perhaps consider a 2x10 (eugh) or a 2x12 to sit on it. Unless your 4x10s are super lightweight, good luck not getting bored with 2 of them every gig Si
9.
I understand that around the middle of this year Mr Apple did indeed collate as many outstanding BC member orders as could be found at the time. He then passed the information on to the Doc for his attention.
Since then, Howard has seemingly avoided contact with BillyApple, myself and all other members attempted to make contact. Si
10.
I saw him on Saturday and he is OK. But he was laid low for a while with a virus and may still be working his way through a backlog... I think you could expect a PG for around £30.... depends really!
Perhaps you could enquire as to why he hasn't replied to me since 26th May 2014 regarding a job I paid a deposit for on 21st October 2013?! Si
11. As always lots of fun, thankyou to everyone who organised! Had to leave before the group photo to get to my gig in Kent, oh well, always next year Si
12. Oooof, that's a beauty! I'd quite happily swap out my black '73 Precision for that!! Si
13. Again, bit too late notice, but I can bring a looping setup that people can have a go through, with some effects and what-not. Don't have a lot of space to bring many pedals as I have to leave for a gig at 3pm, but if there are any pedals brands/types that people wanna try, lemme know. Obviously always happy to talk about pedals/effects etc Cheers Si
14.

Ooooo, don't see many Broadcasts on boards, how are you using that? Si
15. The best Filter I've used (and still do) is the MXR BEF, sounds great, very versatile, love it. A surprise for me was the DOD FX-25B, not so versatile, and a very slight gain drop, but excellent sound, it's my go-to backup. That said, I've yet to gig a Groove Regulator, and very interested to do so! Si
16. How did you find the standard HS on bass without a blend? Low endy without being flabby? Si

DIY Effects

I've never seen the difficulty in using Eagle, and I came from zero experience with using any CAD type programs. There's some great tutorials and its very powerful. The free version allows PCBs big enough for most pedals. Si
18. Pretty bloody interested in this! Going for a look now! Si
19. The '66 is a Production model soon, however it's orderable now if you email Tom Si
20. I would always take a 5string to a gig where I didn't know what singer was turning up, got caught short a few times with singers wanting stuff in Eb, D, C etc, 10mins before the start, where the 5 string simply helped with positions. Not essential, but slightly easier to transpose on the fly. Si
21. Lovely looking Ibanez. Adam Nitti plays SDGRs now, the higher models (like this) seem great. Si
22. I have a Rat & a Knightfall 66, very different pedals!! I've used both in the same band situation, and whilst the 66 sits a bit nicer in the mix for that band, the Rat really is snarl city and you gotta love it for that Both together would be pretty sweet though! Si
