1. Guys, this is a brilliant dirt pedal, with plenty of low-end. Get on it! Si
2. I had a Skyyline 55-02 once and didn't think much of it. Beautiful finish, but dull (sounding, playing) neck, polite (boring) preamp. Meh. I'd love to try a Lakland P as good as my '71 Fender P....now that I'd buy . I would really fancy a Skyline Decade 30", but I emailed Lakland and there's no plans Si
3.
Well the basic premise of the programme was supposed to be how one band had not only had success together, but spawned so many solo careers as well. As Steve has had a prolific and quite often artistically successful solo career I can understand him being a little peeved about the final edit, which seemed to imply that he just wandered off into the sunset some time in the 70s, never to be seen or heard again until now. While commercially not up there with PC's, PG's or even MR's, It could be argued that Steve Hackett has had a far more successful solo career than Tony Banks, with several top 30 albums and a few even getting into the top 20. Despite Mr Banks claiming that his first solo album made the top 20, the accompanying visual said otherwise...yet his solo career got quite a bit more air time than Mr Hackett's (not hard as Steve's got zero coverage). Seemed a bit odd to me to have not mentioned it at all, especially as Steve was the first one to record a solo album (which actually caused a bit of resentment within the Genesis machine, despite two of them appearing on it). The conversations with the five of them in the room were very interesting though, especially some of the looks and body language. Even Mrs S clocked some of the stuff that wasn't said (verbally at least). Would have liked to see more of those discussions and less prattling, mainly from non-entities with little of consequence to say. I don't need someone who probably doesn't even really know that much about the band to help me understand - just show me the story, let the band talk and I can make up my own mind - but such is the nature of these types of programmes. Good idea, dreadfully executed.
I largely agree with this. I generally enjoyed the program, but why the hell do I need to hear Al Murray talking about Genesis? Si
4.
But I can't stand the handles this is the 3rd time I've picked the cab up by the top handle & it has swung back & bashed me in the shines
I mean.......3 times man.......are you still holding on for a different outcome? Si
5. Mines a Finn SC and is really great GLWTS Si
6. Stunning, shame you're not closer, thinking about selling my ACG 5string singlcut for a 6, but need to try a load first. The second nicest fretless I ever played was a Zon!........obviously I own the first nicest Si
7. Yup, looks like it Si
8. It is a bit different than the OC-2, and that's partly for the sale, too stuck in my ways . That said, it's a solid octave down that gets very subby when the filter is dimed. I also found that I used the octave up less than I thought I would. Si
9. Hi guys, Up for sale is my custom 'squares' T-65. It's a custom model, with the big difference being that it's a buffered pedal, this allows for the loop to always be on, even when the pedal is bypassed. From the Cog site: "T-65 Octave modified so the contents of the effects loop is your bypassed sound, including internal level control for the bypass signal. Ideal for putting a large portion of your pedalboard, if not your whole pedalboard, inside the loop to add parallel octave to. If nothing is placed in the loop, the bypassed sound will default to clean" Mint but no box (how it was supplied), will pack very well. Sold No trades I'll also throw in the loop insert cable for free. Cheers Si
10. I would assume its intentional, his other P builds are the same on the website. Just wondered if it was just an aesthetic thing, or there's science behind it Si
11. What's the thinking behind more of a space between the two halves of the pickup? Si
12. Yeah, beautiful bass! GLWTS Si
13. You know this build?....... .....Still waiting for the body from the builder Si
14. Why year is this? Si
15. I owned the older Mini 48 & 15 cabs before they introduced the Neo ranges, and to be honest, the only real issue I had with them is that they was rear ported. Now they've sorted that out and front-ported them, I think it would be a pretty killer cab! Si

Would love to hear the Bass Rangie and see the schem too if you have it available? Cheers Si
17. Just hire a rehearsal studio with a low ceiling and take a ton of weird lamps with you.....worked for us: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK8uinmNqhQ Si
18. Try tuning via the Harmonic on the 12th fret Si
19. I've used a couple (1 running, 1 spare) of Little Mark 2s for the last 2 or 3 years. Absolutely brilliant amps, can't imagine using anything else at the mo. Had a brief affair with a Genz Benz Streamline 900 somewhere in that timeline.....horrible thing, not one useable sound for me. Back to the MB, more tone and almost seemed like more volume (although that was probably just tonal perception). If one died, I'd find another, or possibly a LM3 if its the same design. Si
20.
Very Sad!!! It's always good to honour great people and Lincoln was a really great bass player. I knew him from being the bass player in Reg Webbs jazz/fusion band 'The 3 B's'. I saw him play a few times, the last time was around a year ago. He had a great sound and feel and I always considered him as a real musical bass player who effortlessly played and improvised over some really difficult tunes. They have and album called blind, black and breathless which was made in the late 90's. Check out his bass playing on it, it's really good!! He really inspired me as a bass player. Just wish I had told him while he was still here.
Yes I still have my Blind, Black & Breathless album, its the CD that first introduced me to him. It was given to me by my A-level Music teacher as the drummer (ex- Suzi Quattro, the 'Breathless' part of the trio due to him being a chronic asthmatic) was teaching some lessons at my school, and Lincoln was considered to give me some bass lessons. I'll see if I can get some tunes from the album up as I'm sure the CD is way out of print now. *Edit* - There seems to be a few used copies on Amazon Cheers Si
21. PM'd today at 7pm saying I'll take the DHA if that's cool Cheers Si
22. Sorry, forgot to write the time, it's 11am. See you there Ness Si
23. I can confirm that the Aux input on the Enabler does not output through either the Jack output or the XLR, just the headphone out. I love my Enabler, one of the best purchases I've ever made, and it sounds goooood! Si
