1.
It is good - I'm generally of the opinion that it's impossible to make a proper appraisal of basses, amps or effects pedals on YouTube for many reasons - not least the variable quality of the end-users' monitoring equipment - but SolidGold's effort is very creditable. They've got their marketing well sorted. And in my opinion if they've taken the time and trouble to produce a decent product vid, I tend to suspect that they have taken time and trouble with their product, too. Illogical of course, but you can see how that works.
+1 to all of this! Si
2. Subscribe to the Prymaxe email list, they're always doing 15 or 20% off site-wide. My Beta cost about £88 all in! Took a week to arrive Si
3. I'd say the COG '66', or checkout the SolidGold FX Beta, very cool, although it does lose a tiny bit of the highs. Both awesome pedals though Si
4. Yeah DD-7 is digital but has an analogue (DM-2) emulation. I'm assuming DM-2w is exactly the same circuitry as the original , as you say, seems to be how they've marketed it. But they have added another mode.....so the circuitry is different.....so could sound different We'll see Si
5.
I am all over the DM-2W! the DM-2 is a superb pedal, I wonder if this will have the bass whammy effect on the originals?
Possibly, although Boss have tried to emulate the DM-2 on the DD-7 before.....and failed.....so unless the new DM-2w completely nails the original sound, I think the original will stay in the high price range. Also remember that there are a LOT of DM-2 clones, but people still go back to the original Si
6. The DM-2 is the most interesting one in there for me. I don't think they'll do the OC-2 anytime soon, but maybe older ones like the VB-2 or SG-1 perhaps Si

Essentially, wire it exactly the same as you see it on the photo, then you can't go wrong Add me on facebook if you like and we can chat it out (link in my sig) Si
8. Its probably an easy fix, but a photo of the insides would help Si

The switch should be arranged so that the terminals/lugs look horizontal. This is only really for the wiring really, so you can follow diagrams. Once wired, the orientation doesn't really matter......although usually your wires should be short enough that you can't really spin it round. Si

11.
Si - great to hear, those camps do sound great. I'm not booked for the London show as I think they're flying down for that one. Anything changes and I'll drop you a line and come say hello!
Yes definitely Si
12. Yeah he's a lovely guy, I spent a week with him (and many other awesome tutors) at the Music/Nature camp this year. As above, he's always very accommodating with anyone talking bass, but he's also into life and healthier ways to live it......hence the 'Nature' part of the camp. Have fun, I'll be catching up with him in London Si

A while ago I modded the switches on my DL-4 to decent Alpha momentary. Worth it, but vowed never to open up that pedal again, it was a PITA! So.....today I decided to open it up and mod the DL-4 again . Now, I've got the Looper setting on a footswitch, so I can swap between a delay preset and Looper without bending down to change it. Win! But still a PITA Si

16. I just take two Little Mark IIs to most of my gigs. Still lighter than my old Ashdown EVOII. Place them on top of each other, quick changeover if something goes down mid-gig Si
17. Yup ordered from them with no issues. If you're unsure, call them first just to ensure they have stock etc Si
