It's still in my pile of pedals to finish! . It's a big 'ol job. If I complete it, it sounds how I want, it's going to be up there with the Mantic pricing. High parts count (and so therefore build time), obsolete parts, it's not a cheap undertaking Si

Another Poultone Trooper prototype (Ver 2.0) for your consideration: Si
3. Yup, looks really great! It'll be a great workhorse for sure! Si
4.
Bassist Answer: Leave it, the music is in the space. Bass Player Answer: An overdrive, octave or volume boost pedal.
The trick is knowing when to choose one, and when to choose the other! Si

6. Thanks Noirbass! Right, mega update is live. Including all the above additions I've missed recently, as well as unit numbers for the Taiwanese models Plus I've added my latest one :-P Please do keep adding yours, and if you've purchased it recently, please do check the database in case its already added and I need to change the owner Si

New TC mini pedals
Problem with the feature is you can't correct the tempo while playing. So say you set it to your drummer, then start playing. Inevitably it will go off-sync. With normal tap tempo you can keep correcting it as you play, with this feature you can't because it mutes you (unless you have some pauses in your playing along the way).
Yeah, thought there might be a downside I still might take a look at one, but not in a massive hurry, my DM-3 is doing a fine job currently. Si
8. Also see my comments in the Octaver thread Si
9. Well theres two transistors there, not opamps. I don't think the Animato has been de-boxed from a DIY perspective, I can't see a schematic on a real quick Google search. There are a few clones floating around, however how close these are to the original I don't know. Si
10. There are people here who already own one, however if mine comes before they can do a demo, I'll get one up asap Si
11. I don't suppose anyone is bringing a 3Leaf Audio Enabler that I can borrow for the day? I'm using mine on the FX stand, but would be cool to have two on the go Si

Octaver?

OC-3 doesn't have an octave up, but it does has a fairly poor fuzz/drive option :-/ I don't get people's problem with the OC-2 tracking, I often successfully have it tracking down to A at gigs. With a P-bass though, so nice and solid, round input. Si
13. Just remember that the OC-3 doesn't sound like the OC-2 at all. Do yourself a favour and just buy the OC-2 Si

New TC mini pedals

Very interested in the mini flashback. Anyone have experience of the audio-tap function? Works well? Si
15.
How come you put the tuner at the end Si?
It ensures that you completely cut any signal to your amp. Tuner first cuts signal to your pedals, but if there's any noise or hum generated by your pedals, that'll still go to your amp. The only issue with tuner at the end is if you have a lot of effects 'always on', you might not get a great note for the tuner to track. But with a small setup like this, not an issue. Si
16. Used this over the weekend for a festival show: Fromel modded Boss CE-2B -> Blakemore Deus Ex Machina -> DOD FX-10 Bi-Fet Pre -> Boss OC-2 -> Boss TU-2 Si

Octaver?

I don't think you want the Organizer, it's a bit more specialised, it has lag control and does +2 & -2 as well. Look at the EHX POG or the COG T-65, definitely look at the latter.....currently waiting on mine Si

Octaver?

Earthquaker Devices make the Organizer, very cool pedal! Always buy Octavers, up, down, whatever....they're great :-D Si

Octaver?

Remember that it's not always necessary to fill a sonic space. Whilst I use some of the above techniques in my trio setup, sometimes it's just nice to hear the guitar solo breathe a bit. Don't always assume if there's a space, you fill it, judge it on a case by case basis. A classic case of "leave some holes, some music might fall out" Don't believe? Watch Pino with John Mayer trio, loads of space, he nails it. Si

24.
Here is my 1996 Japanese Precision in Shell Pink. Since i last posted it's photo in this thread it has had: a Bass Doc pickguard, a Fender CS pickup, CTS pots, US control knobs fitted and a bridge cover. It also has 55-100 Fender flats. Handy tip: Frustrated with trying to solder single pin sockets? Have your third hand hold your PCB with one clip, then place your socket on a discarded snipped component leg, and have that secured in the second clip. Lovely Si
