1. Hi all, Looking to move on my 2009 Fender Jazz USA 5 string standard (passive), very good condition, no dents or wear other than a few very very fine surface marks on the rear that I can't capture in a photo. Sunburst with Rosewood fingerboard and the, in my opinion, more desirable 4+1 headstock. Has original case, which is a bit more scuffed & gigged (pictures ASAP), but works perfectly & includes case candy. Weight is showing as 9.7lbs on kitchen scales, this actually surprised me as I've used it on long gigs and never had any issues (my other basses are low 9's and high 8's), so must balance nicely. Currently strung with a new sparkly set of Dunlop SuperBrights 45-125. Any further pics or questions, please do ask. Collection/meetup only. Cash is king, although happy to take a pedal or two (if they interest me) to help you shave no more than £100 off the price! SOLD Final reduction. At this price, bass will need to be collected from Herts/Bucks or possibly London Fenders gumf: http://www.fender.co...color-sunburst/ Cheers Si
2. I'm leaving the hotel today for Wooten Woods, so too late. Oh well . Still coming home with a Blakemore Deus Ex Machina fuzz, with Laura Bennett enclosure. Picked it up in person from Blakemore too Si
3. I'll consider in a weeks time Didn't find one in Nashville Si
4. Yeah looks really cool. It's not the same as the 66, which I believe is still orderable and on the horizon for a release, but the Dual is definitely another awesome idea in a box. Si
5. I'm looking out for one currently Si
6. Will keep an eye on this. Maybe when I get back from the US Si
7. To be clear, can you confirm that this is a parts bass with a Modulus neck? Si

Also consider that you may just want to look at your EQ. P-Bass, tone all the way down, take a look at the old Boss PQ-3B which can adjust down to 25hz (technically lower than the Meatbox), boost that. Or the newer MXR Kerry King EQ, goes down to 31hz. Put some modulation on if you want some movement, but yeah, easy Si
9. The Me-50b really does have some good sounds! If you don't mind the size of the pedal (i.e. you use more than the delay), stick with it if you're happy. If you want a really good digital delay in a small footprint, that has an alright analogue modelling setting for playing around with.....as well as a useable phrase looper....get the Boss DD-7 Si

Here's the first Poultone clean boost prototype working nicely The Trooper Boost (artwork pending): Watch this space Si
11. The photo when it arrives has to be with the bottle Si
12. I've completely been turned onto short delays for soloing, completely lifted from Janek. It's a lot nicer to my ears than a Chorus for sure. Analogue seems better suited to that as the trails degrade in tone, to me this allows the original signal (your solo) to take precedence over the effect, whereas a really clean digital delay could take away from the original signal with its super clean repeats. However big 'ol soundscapes really benefit from long clean digital delay in my opinion, so yes, it depends on what you want to achieve really. Si
13. Very cool, I'm always on the lookout for nice Singlecut 4 strings, not many about Need to sell/trade my Fender USA Jazz 5 first through Si
14. Both of the above options are a good shout as they'll give you a good overview of different types of delay. I say this because there's no point getting an analogue delay, hating it and giving up, whereas all you needed was a good digital delay.....or vice versa. Once you know what you like, you can look at more specific units . My faves are the Boss DM-3, Akai Headrush E2, Line 6 DL-4 & Idiotbox Dimension X, but there are so many more! Si
15. Pretty cool for the Nano, but a shame it doesn't have 5 outputs for the Mini users. You could daisy-chain off one of the outputs I guess, but at only 100ma per output, not a lot to play around with. Cool idea though Si
16.
Please tell me it was someone on here that ordered the Broke Dick Rat Tail they posted on Facebook earlier? So good.
That did look immense, it's going to sound BIG too! Si
17. Just ordered the follow-up to my Knightfall '66' prototype. Spec finished (largely stock), Tom was so patient whilst we hashed my finicky details haha. edit: Artwork chosen Si
18. 4 people interested is good enough for me Si
19. I'd get an email fired off to Ryan asap whichever way, just to make sure he'll build it first haha Si
20. hehe, I kinda like the slight misalignment.....gives it the human touch haha. If anyone wants a BDPG, I would email him asap, always worth asking about smaller enclosures, you never know what he's got hanging around Si
21. Hi all, Just for those that are interested, Ryan is discontinuing the Broke Dick Peanut Gallery this Friday (28th). If anyone wants a very cool drive preamp that can go gnarly drive to dub, then this is for you. Email him direct for last minute custom orders Cool Si
22. I kinda almost bought it, but I think Danny kinda fell in love with it again last minute haha Si
23. Ooof, that is seriously nice!! Would like me a Singlecut 4 from Jon! Si

Slow Engine

I'm pretty interested in this too. Meant to try one at MusikMesse but didn't get around to it. I had a Boss Slow Gear for a while, which wasn't good with bass at all, although my ME-50b has a Slow Gear patch, which is brilliant. So, perhaps opposite to what we normally want, I'm hoping the Mooer is a digital approximation of the original effect (like the ME-50b) and not a full clone of the Boss. Si
