  1. Ah nice! I was looking at this, let me know if you don't get on with it Si
  2. Haha, yes good point!! Got stuck in the ‘no battery’ moment there haha 😅 Si
  3. What recording interface do you have? Most decent ones will have an instrument DI input that would negate the need for a DI from a level conversion point of view, and reduce it to a 'tone' box.....which can easily be constructed within your DAW anyway (EQ, plugins etc). Si
  4. But you’ve got wound length around the post right? Si
  5. Well, if they’re long flats, means you’ll likely have some wound length going around the tuning post. Again, could potentially damage the winding and cause the string to break/unravel. Rounds are less of an issue, but looks unnecessarily ugly IMO. Si
  6. Just for clarity for anyone who's unsure, the point with any through-body stringing and flats is simply noting whether there's bare winding at the break-point when travelling through the bridge, or whether silk is protecting the string at the break-point. The former will potentially cause you problems with the winding becoming damaged and unravelling (ie broken string), if you have silk covering the break-point, you're golden. Si
  7. Mine is passive, with a transformer and a ‘thru’ output. All in a 1590B enclosure. So yeah, nice little custom job for about £42 all in I think it was (albeit about 3 years ago, so prices may have changed). (The XLR out is in the back side). Si
  8. La Bella’s Mustang set, flats with more silk at the ball end to accommodate the through-body stringing. Had them on my Mustang when I had it and they’re the best! Si
  9. I know you're sorted now, but another vote for Orchid, hand built in the UK and my little custom job was circa £40. Si
  10. But that’s not ‘there’s no heavier bands’, that’s just ‘there are some bands I don’t like’. Si
  11. Ah fair enough! Thinking about it now, I think I’m actually conflating when you got a black matching headstock, they’d just do the Fender logo and not the model. Si
  12. Yeah, that’s not a genuine headstock logo arrangement I don’t think. From what I understand, left handed arrangements were generally the Fender logo in the standard place, and then an omission of the model (ie no Precision or Jazz logo). So yeah, somewhat throws up the legitimacy of the bass for me…..unless I’m wrong, which is very possible haha. Si
  13. Pigsx7, Nova Twins, Wargasm, Dub War, Skunk Anansie, Idles, Amyl And The Sniffers, Turnstile, Bob Vylan….. Just look harder is all 🙂 Si
  14. Not watched any yet, but it’s probably the best line-up I’ve seen for a few years, nothing bland, strong headliners, music for allllll types of people. Which is very much welcomed. Si
  15. Best envelope filter ever! If I were less controlled, I'd be it as a spare! GLWTS Si
  16. I'd be going Fuzzrocious Cat-Tail with clean blend option. Si
  17. Ah good spot, I had a quick look at the search, but couldn’t see it….you’ve fared better than I! I shall investigate 🙂 Thanks Si
  18. Was it sold on here by any chance? Cheers Si
  19. No idea, I suspect it was sold as a custom order. Si
  20. Is this yours? https://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/portfolio/limelight-00192-p-bass/ Would love to have a quick chat with you about it if so Cheers Si
  21. I’d rather have the U-Bass….even with it being broken 😄 Si
  22. Oh that’s wonderful, pretty much my ideal spec Spector. It’s just at the wrong time for me, but will be watching carefully! Si
  23. Yeah this is what I was gonna suggest you do. Will be interesting to see their response. Si
