Yeah I was on the fence with regards to the Mini & the Nano, I went for the Mini just because I wanted a bit more space. I'd prefer some space between pedals, than some extra space onstage. Having said that, I think the Nano, weirdly enough, has a slightly nicer space underneath for power?! Si

See I only bought a big-box recently because I had one around 8 years ago and stupidly sold it......so technically I had one before it was cool to have one I've not tried an XO, but you're probably right, any tonal issues that might be obvious in a studio are rarely noticeable mid-gig (unless it's really awful). Having said that, I have heard of the construction quality of newer EHX units being called into question compared to older units. Again, no experience of this, but something to bear in mind I guess. Horrah. It's a bit of a fiddly kit, the R3 Resistor workaround plus the semi-board mounted pots. But all in all it's great, i've done 5 of them now. Cheers Si

I've never had an issue with analogue octave pedals tracking either, just saying. Perhaps in real harsh, high-scrutiny, bedroom testing, but never onstage . Most glitchy tracking is down to buzzing frets anyway, get a well setup round signal into one, it'll play well. When I did the last basschat FX talk, I had my OC-2 tracking low As and Gs Si

For Octave down I love my OC-2, it's well documented! Or similar tones, but without the -2 octave (which not many people use), check out the DOD Octoplus. If you want up and down, POG is a decent bet, the Earthquaker Devices Organizer is cool, with some cool quirks. If you can find one, the Pearl Octaver is well loved. So many to choose from, have fun going through them and trying all, then move on what you don't like. It's the ongoing quest Si

Anything past half of what you need will start to have gentle but adverse effects on the sound, so I'd even be wary of running it from a 600 or 700ma supply. Think of it as headroom Si

M5 is a 9v 500ma pedal. Pretty hefty for most power supplies. You'd also want isolated power for it. Personally I love the Organizer, love pairing it with my Mr Black Eterna Si
