Why run two amps/cabs?, just have a line selector (Boss, SFX, COG, Lehle etc) that have two channels into one output. The Boss does not allow you to run each channel independently as well as both together (on one setting anyway), which is a shame. My SFX does, and COG have built a similar one to that which also includes phase adjustment. All of those mix to a single output, meaning you have two channels into one amp. The Organizer works great on bass, in fact I actually think it's better voiced for bass. Because it can go two octaves up, I find that too much on guitar, whereas on bass it has a really nice quality. The down octave is great, although much less synthy and subby than the OC-2 for example. I think down octaves often track better on bass as they tend to require a rounder, fatter tone going into them to tracks. Up octaves I have experimented with less, however my experience suggests that there is no difference in how they track with bass compared to guitar. Si

It's the basis for SO many drive pedals. I would suggest that most pedal companies will have a fuzz based off a Muff or possibly a Fuzzface, and a drive based off a Tubscreamer or increasingly the OCD Si

The circuit looks fairly similar to the Xotic BB preamp, as do the controls. Obviously there are tweaks to make it their own, but I bet it's just a tube screamer derivative (nothing wrong with that, solid basis for a bass drive) Si

Yup, a lifelong orchestral double-bass will often price in at around £50,000 etc But then, those guys are often much more about getting on with playing and not messing around with gear. Price of a bass (any gear), utterly subjective, pointless comparing them......anything. MIM vs Squier example? Still pointless, even if the materials are considered 'better' (assuming its not made of beans or something), if one speaks to you and the other doesn't, then which do you think you'll pick? That said, better materials often, not always, means it might be more likely to produce a more pleasing sound and feel in general. Fodera; If I played one and that was it, bass for life, I'd find a way to pay for one, never happened, so I won't. Do I resent them for pricing the way they do? of course not, it's a wonderful state of affairs that a small team of craftsmen are that successful whilst staying true to their roots. Of course, if you've owned one, and it fell short of the mark, then surely question why you purchased it in the first place? An assumption that something utterly subjective will be the one for you based on rhetoric and others' experience should be a lesson on how to purchase gear . If, to you, it fell short of the mark simply because of one customer's opinion of the sound, and you sold it for that reason, then I would suggest that you're in for a LOT of gear changes haha Si

DS-1 & B3K are utterly different circuits. You're best bet is to shift on the DS-1 and buy a B3K Si

Pretty sure Nolly in Peripery uses Fractal FX live, in fact the whole band does. Think they record using pedals (Nolly loves the B7K famously) and then program those sounds into the Fractal for live. Nolly is also a guitarist, so might be the right guy to reach out to for an opinion (and maybe a Fractal contact) Si
