Very cool, Yeah Kaeden is starting to get some stick figures on his boxes now, very cool little guy! Here's my Grey Stache: My new OSD will take a month or two I think, and will be painted by Shannon Si
  2.
Happy happy joy joy!! I got given the package earlier. Inside was a Kid-paint Rat King. Have brought it home and had a quick play though my Pod and 'phones. The range of tones is huge!! The option of having two different levels of distortion is great (most of the time I'm either clean or a bit of grit but a couple of our songs require a full on creamy distortion). Plus, if nothing else, the feedback loop will be great for drowning out the guitarist when he goes on a between songs widdle-fest
Awesome....pics of the kid-paint please . My Grey Stache is a kid-paint. I was jealous of you, so I ordered a custom paint Oh See Demon yesterday lol Si
  3. [sup]I'm only really looking for older ones now, but I have a Taiwan one and they're still great, someone will get an awesome pedal [/sup] [sup]Si[/sup]
  4.
i love the sound of my darkglass B3k through my barefaced cab, its my holy grail now! but its such a personal thing, people can hate what other people love, the vintage microtubes looking interesting. i also really REALLY love anything tubescreamer based
I think the tubescreamer circuit is where it's at really, the Xotic BB pre is based on that. Si
  5.
I've had a suspicion that someone might have got me one for Christmas. I've just seen a parcel from the US be delivered
That's so cool, wish I had a secret Fuzzrocious for christmas I've found out that I really don't like many distortions at all on anything smaller than a 12" speaker....and even then, it has to be coupled with a 15. One or two 15s for Distortion is the ideal for me. Si
  6.
Juan Alderete uses the Behringer vibrato on his touring pedal board these days. Not sure whether it's replaced his VB-2 or it addition to them.
I have to say I don't quite believe that lol, he definitly advocates the Behringer as a clone, but I've never seen the VB-2 off his board, certainly back when I saw Big Sir in March/April he had the VB-2, and I assume (based on his pedal vids) he had it for the Mars Volta tour too. Perhaps it was being fixed or something if you saw it on the board?! Apparently the Malekko vibrato does a great impression of it too, but that's much more money than the B. Si
  7. Having a horrendous time with Parcel Force at the moment. Parcel sent on Monday from Newcastle via Express24 (by 5:30pm next day), didn't turn up, assured it would be next day (automatic 50% refund on shipping cost). Then next day, it has been sent to the wrong depot, ensuring that it would take a further 24 hours to arrive after being sent to the correct depot. So it might turn up Thursday, Parcel Farce indeed! Si
  8.
Andy is a top top bloke, I've had setups and refrets from him, top-notch work, great prices (imo) and really quick!

Si
Letts porn

I priced up a singlecut with Jon, it's still in my sights, but some other business has to clear up first. I was under the impression I had to have a wood finish......he might not appreciate that I want a solid white finish now Si
One missing but this is my lot &The Three I took on the April 2012 tour pictured here at King Tuts Glasgow
Whats the white one? Didn't think Letts did lacquered solid colours?? Si
  12. My DL-4 has gone the way of the dodo (constant bypass, no lights or wet signal). Does anyone have any experience of the Line 6 tech/repair support, or better to go to someone smaller/private? Bearing in mind it's a digital dsp based pedal. Cheers Si
  13.
Ive just noticed the ugly head thing on the cab too, i swear I had the same one about 20 years ago!
BOGLIN!! Si

    Yamaha BBs

I've always been interested in the BB's, how do people cope with the difference in size difference of the P pickup compared with the J. By that I mean the distance your anchored thumb is from the strings. The J is closer than the P?! Cheers Si

    DIY Effects

Cool, cheers for the link. Have ordered the Slow Loris (Rat with Mods), plus you get a gain boost PCB free with December orders apparently Si
  16. I've also got PM's not read since 16th Nov Si
  17. The sounds that Behringer pedals make are generally good, for example, as mentioned previously, the Ultra Vibrato does a very good impression of a Boss VB-2. Don't get me wrong, my VB-2 sounds better than the Behringer, whilst being a typical indestructible Boss pedal, but the Behringer certainly holds its own sonically. My problem with Behringer pedals aren't the sounds, it's not even really the plastic enclosures (although not really an excuse for them, ask Mooer & Joyo), but it's actually the switch, it feels weak and if it wasn't for the LED, barely feels like you've switched anything. Horrible. Si
  18. Hmmmm, for me USA Fenders are out, generally yuk in 1983. So I'd like a JV P or J at some point (yes I know there are a couple in the FS ) Other than that a Pre EB Stingray, or possibly a Yamaha BB Si
  19. Hopefully they'll have a lot more stock come mid-december and this won't become an ongoing problem. They do seem to have reduced the available stock on the website to reflect those out of stock Si
  20. I ordered them for my guitarist friend, but gave them a quick whirl when they arrived, also had a Orange Ninety (The Phase90 copy) come from eBay (new for £30). They're all great to be fair, Green Mile has better low-end retention than the Hustle Drive I had previously, although only in the Warm setting, nice tube screamer-esque overdrive. The Ana Echo is cool, although not quite as sweet as my DM-3 or my guitarists DM-2 (slightly unfair comparison perhaps), decent analogue delay though! The Phaser was my fave though, really nice tone, not many options, like the Phase90, but sounds great!! Si
  21. Eugh, ODB-3 . You might roll off the fizzle, but I just didn't find any decent grind/texture in the low-end whatsoever. It's worth just trying as much as you possibly can....in a gig setting, playing in your room or a shop doesn't tell you anything about how a pedal (or anything) sits in a mix!. You might love something that we hate and vice-versa. Another random suggestion is a Bogdan Polish Love, excellent low-end retention, but slightly more 'Fuzz' than 'Distortion' Si
