I hope this isn't the start of a slippery slope to bigger things... but I've finally bitten the bullet and decided the PT mini is too small for my needs!!! I'm having a trial run on a PT-Jr sized board, and if I get on with it at practise, will probably get a PT-Jr and voodoo PP2+ setup... (powering this with a diago at the mo) pretty straightforward chain: phat phuk B to BB preamp to TFR to PN-2 into RE-20 then TU-2. The three boost/dirt pedals sit really well together, as the PPB can drive the BB nicely, and the BB into the TFR is massive The space is for a chorus when I make my mind up (probably a TC corona)... Hopefully this should stay the same for a while, I've been using most of these pedals for quite some time, just kept swapping them off and back onto the smaller board!
Great looking board with some top effects, although the space should really be taken up by an OC-2 Si

Great inclusion of a DM-3, love mine, awesome analogue delay!. Great GGG Muff too, currently building a GGG Green Russian with mids Si
If you decide to do that I can send you a socket for free - Years ago I ordered a 100 pack from China but they messed up and sent me 1000 instead
Brilliant :-D Si

Boxed up another little project This is a custom painted enclosure by our very own Shep (Pantherairsoft). The circuit is a Fuzzrocious 'Broke Dick Peanut Gallery', or BDPG for short, a high-gain preamp, an awesome sounding overdrive! Next to be boxed up are a GGG Green Russian Muff with AMZ mids control mod, a Mad Beans Rat clone and a Mad Beans Gainster clone. Also working on a AMZ clean boost, and a Zvex Super Hard-On clone. Si

I've always thought it sounded great on guitar, just lead work mind, it's not a chordal distortion IMO. I used it for a while on bass, until I realized that there were pedals by Xotic & Fuzzrocious etc that do bass overdrive/fuzz/distortion much better. Having said that the MD-2 blows the ODB-3 out the water, no question! Si

Not nice I'll stick with my Earthquaker Devices Organizer thanks Si
agreed - i'm interested in this, but the thing I love about my BB preamp is the 2 band EQ (same reason I like the SFT)... I still don't see the point in this obsession with blend controls with dirt pedals, there is certainly no need for one on the BB or the SFT... and I don't miss one on my grey stache.
This....exactly actually Si

The Marshall Reflector is great, and often cheap. The TC Hall Of Fame gets a lot of love. The Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master is a great Delay/Reverb combo pedal, each can be used individually too. Si

If you're interested in a Rat, then go for a Fuzzrocious Rat Tail, more geared towards bass than a standard Rat, and plenty of options available. Any kind of nice overdrive/distortion before the fuzz will drive it nicely when combined. Check out the Fuzzrocious Broke Dick Peanut Gallery, I also love my Xotic BB Bass Preamp Si
I've got one Japanese OC-2 myself... and no, you aren't having it!
Resistance is futile!!

Don't get me wrong, sounds great, nice features......looks horrible!! Why spend 2 years developing a pedal, when you're going to let the intern spend 5 minutes on how it looks lol Si

Re. tuners. I can certainly understand essentially wanting a full-on killswitch and so placing it at the end of the chain. It really all depends on what effects you use and how many. Distortion will probably not help the tuner track due to all the harmonics being generated, and anything else extreme like filters, delays, pitch-shifters etc are just going to spaz it out. So on a small board like Gaz's it wouldn't be a problem, switching things off before a tune is easy. On a larger board with weirder effects, I'd want it at the start, then if noise was an issue, a gate at the end. Si

I love that all the things they could have taken from the Pitchfactor and one is the Tuner lol Also, although it has some presets, it looks like all other Eventide sounds need to be purchased onto it. So yeah, it's success will be down to the base unit price and the extra-preset prices. Si

"Humans may lose the desire to throw away unneeded items because of a feeling of attachment to these item" OC-2's?.........Unneeded? .......Whatchoo talkin' 'bout? Si
yup - i had a 2002 bassdrive for many years but eventually replaced it with the BB as I preferred the EQ of the xotic pedal. I use a booster in front of the BB and this pushes it in a v similar way to using the boost function on the bassdrive... just back from practise, and changed my board up a bit, as I'm using a P now instead of a jazz... v happy with this little setup I prefer how my grey stache sounded with the jazz, but using the precision, the TFR sounds a bit better to me - meaty as hell
Really cool setup! Although tuner at the end? That would annoy me, having to turn pedals off to get a true reading, best at the start IMO Si

They do '62 & '75 models as P/J configurations!!! Si

Stuart is a great guy, I know him very well. But for this, I'd be more inclined to go to Andy Viccars in MK. Si

Have to say, I'm pretty happy with the experience now I have my DL-4 back. I was a little grumpy that they didn't sort the (very minor as it turns out) switch issue, even after I bought it up, but I fixed that myself after some Google help in 10 seconds. £50, 5-day turnaround, they sent the pedal back in a DL-4 box with manual (where there wasn't one before), nice people on the phone. Cool Si
