Meshell Ndegeocello at Ronnie Scott's next year for three nights....
Sibob replied to urb's topic in General Discussion
OH man, and Deantoni Parks on drums too!! Si -
Hopefully they'll have a lot more stock come mid-december and this won't become an ongoing problem. They do seem to have reduced the available stock on the website to reflect those out of stock Si

I ordered them for my guitarist friend, but gave them a quick whirl when they arrived, also had a Orange Ninety (The Phase90 copy) come from eBay (new for £30). They're all great to be fair, Green Mile has better low-end retention than the Hustle Drive I had previously, although only in the Warm setting, nice tube screamer-esque overdrive. The Ana Echo is cool, although not quite as sweet as my DM-3 or my guitarists DM-2 (slightly unfair comparison perhaps), decent analogue delay though! The Phaser was my fave though, really nice tone, not many options, like the Phase90, but sounds great!! Si

Eugh, ODB-3 . You might roll off the fizzle, but I just didn't find any decent grind/texture in the low-end whatsoever. It's worth just trying as much as you possibly can....in a gig setting, playing in your room or a shop doesn't tell you anything about how a pedal (or anything) sits in a mix!. You might love something that we hate and vice-versa. Another random suggestion is a Bogdan Polish Love, excellent low-end retention, but slightly more 'Fuzz' than 'Distortion' Si

I would certainly consider a multi-fx during this period of 'not knowing what you want/need'. There are some great pedals to be had second hand for only a little more than your budget. Boss ME-50B's often sell for around £80-90, and that's more than 20 different, good quality, effects easily. The Line6 M5 gets awesome reviews, Zoom stuff is coming back up. Good luck Si

Green Mile & Ana Echo arrived yesterday, think they took around 10 or 11 days Si

Haha, let me know if you order one Ryan and family are great to deal with! Si

I'm a big advocate of the Xotic BB Preamp. I have one as well as a clone, they're both awesome, although I favour the clone slightly. For most people the Darkglass B3K is the best distortion around, it's probably also the most expensive (for what it is). Definitly also check out the Fuzzrocious offerings, the Oh See Demon is probably the most similar to the BB Pre circuit, being based on a hyped up OCD circuit. Their Rat Tail is also great, obviously based on a Rat but voiced more for bass with loads of features. Si
Yeah, I see this as a downside, unfortunately. I think I will miss the banter, particularly the 'I've got one of those'/'I've always gassed for one of those'/'have a bump on me' variety. Unless people start using the 'questions' for that kind of chat of course
While I felt the same initially, my hope is that this enthusiasm will simply carry over into discussion on the rest of the forum. Like that Chorus pedal for sale? talk about it in the Effects forum. Always wanted that Ritter bass for sale, talk about that in the Bass section... etc Si
Cheers guys, off to do research! Some good suggestions in here. Sibob, is that the Bass BB Pre or the Guitar version? Lefrash, is that the Joyo JF12? Green thing with a goat on the front! Paul, good tip, already started tying up my fingers and knackered brain with that! Ray, I've always fancied an eight string. But I'm very much a fingerstyle guy, do you need to use a pick to get that 8 string sound? Thanks again.
I have the Xotic Bass BB Preamp, although I mostly use my Sonic Kitchen clone. Don't be too keen on filling every sonic gap you can find, sometimes the gaps are nice Si

I run my OC-2 into my BB Preamp overdrive quite regularly, sounds great! Get experimenting Si
i have a hustle drive and shimverb. Both are very nice pedals, no low end loss and sit well in a mix. Im looking forward to the pure octave, and the filter pedal coming out. for the money, they represent great value for money
I had the Hustle Drive and found there to be considerable low end loss, really nice sounding pedal, but even with the tone rolled all the way down, too much bass loss for me. But then I'm using a P into a 15 lol. Si

I quite like it......in a "f*#$-you audience" kind of way I bet Fodera were laughing every minute they made this one! Si

I think Behringer kind of have to raise their game a bit when you look at brands like Mooer. Similar effects, some cool ideas, well made metal enclosures, similar price point. Si
Time for me to play 2001 US Standard in Sky Blue, one of a number I've had off Clarky over the years My 1986 MIJ to follow when I get time...
This is fit!! Si

I've always quite fancied a Precision with a single Dark Star, and so....... ......Colour me interested fo sho!! Si

My Boss CE-2B is still the nicest Chorus I've tried. It has the Frommel mod, so it's tonal options are even wider. Si
-
Yes, any polyphonic pitch/octave pedals that let you go both up and down will get you there. I use the Earthquaker Devices Organizer, has a lag function too Si
Carry on using their stuff? If Mark Bass said no and you jumped to another company,it shows that you don't care about what you use and will only go where the deals are.Use the gear you like-if you get a deal, great.
This!!! I've got a couple of 'deals' (I prefer to call them good relationships) and its because I've been a customer for a good few years, an advocate of the company, and I love the gear. Jumping between companies just for free/cheap gear doesn't breed loyalty or a tone you'll be happy with. Si

Spotted: Boss RC-20 Looper Boss TR-2 Trem Line-6 DL-6 with expression Perhaps a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver (Or a compressor but think its the former) There's a brown Boss in front of that which could be an OC-2 Whammy of some description Thats all I got.....oh and a TU-2 Si
-
I've got the Vibrato and its great.....sonically anyway, very close (although not all the way) to my Boss VB-2. Trouble is, they're built like a wet-cake, horrible plastic housing, rubbish switch that gives me no confidence at a gig. So as a way of testing an effect, they're cool, but gigging? no, I'd rather run a metal housed/decent switch pedal. Si
