They got They got popular...... ergo they are sh*te. Moves like Jagger is a blinding pop tune!
This!! Weird that people need to shout their negative opinions all the time Si

New Fuzz Day. Yesterday I was able to pick up from the post-office my new Fuzzrocious Grey Stache, direct from Ry over in New Jersey. Gated, with control knob for amount. 2nd momentary footwitch for oscillation/feedback. 3 clipping options: LED - Asymmetric LED - Germanium Oh.....and their 'Kid-Paint' option (faster turn-around)...from their son, age 4 Si

Hi Joel, Good to hear from you . I've never quite understood the, sometimes vitrolic, attention that BGM garners....but then I'm a pretty easy going reader. I tend to rely on forming opionions myself, rather than reading a review & then picking fault with their opinion. I think the problem with the BASSically Speaking section is that each subject is presented with a number of questions, often, instead of using the question as a bouncing-board to voice their own opinion/thoughts, they quote the question directly and answer. This obviously leaves each article sounding VERY similar. Perhaps an approach to try and provoke a more varied feature would be to have the player submit the word-count in their own words entirely, with no direction from the mag!? And also, another High Wycombe resident? Do you play locally much? Cheers Si

Yeah good luck with that .....even with George L's lol SI

My Chorus is currently a Fromel modded CE-2B, much more scope than the original pedal. Most people will just recommend what they've tried, if you know you liked the EBS, go with it again Si

Chris's setup is so involved, he has a lot of expression pedal action going on, not to mention his triggering of Ableton (I believe). Si

Yeah I'm much preferring heavier guage string tone at the moment, I did use 40-100 for years. I've gone for an initial setup of 45-105 on the fretless, can't wait for it to arrive : Si

I agree with a lot of the above, any kind of gain pedal will amplify and highlight any noise already present. I don't know a great deal about gates, but I know that some (like the Boss NS-2 http://bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/ns2.xml ) also has a 'noise reduction' circuit. It attempts to cut out hiss/noise whilst allowing the guitar signal through....but how well that works with hi-gain pedals I don't know, not used one Si

The GEB-7 goes lower GE-7B is a bit more handy for mids It's all subjective anyway Si

The ME-50B has +1 Octaves too, but nicer voiced toward bass too Si

http://www.bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/geb7.xml http://www.bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/ge7b.xml Well which frequency bands do you prefer? I use both on my board, in seperate channels. I have the GEB-7 in the sub channel for the 50hz boost, and the GE-7B in the 'noise' channel for the 1k band. Each of those frequencies is exclusive to each pedal. Si

I know it's an awful picture, but it's only a 'progress' shot as I make some changes and make space for some incoming: Off: Akai Headrush, Behringer Ultra Vibrato, Boss BF-2B & LM-2 On: Boss DM-3 & VB-2, Earthquaker Organizer To come: Fuzzrocious Grey Stache, SFX Loop Logic (for LS-2), BEF is out on loan so will go back on, my Meatbox clone Si
You wouldn't be anywhere near the rating for any power supply I know of's max mA output so I wouldn't worry about daisy chaining them at all.
It's not relevant in this case (as he would daisy chain from a power supply), but it depends what you're daisy-chaining from. If you daisy chain from a Boss tuner for example (which I do in another minimal setup), that only has a 200ma output. Si
Thanks for that Liam. How would the Ibanez SB7 which needs a 220mA input cope with that solution then?
Ah your original post states 22ma Yeah it wouldn't like being severely underpowered with 120ma Looks like the M13 requires around 1300-1400ma AC power, so powering that from a brick will be tough.....unless you have a Gig-Rig . You would need the little AC module, but the Generator puts out 5amps, so you could potentially power the M13 plus your other bits from one Generator/Distributor Look at the Diago solutions as well if you're just going to run the Mesa and M13 on seperate supplies. Best regards Simon
Buying 2nd hand is a good thing to do if you're not 100% if the pedal is gonna get used, that way you can sell it on at minimal/no loss.
+10000 I always try and look second hand, especially when looking at just trying them out. I think I've only bought a couple of pedals new, and they tend to be fairly specialist, Fuzzrocious, CoPilot & SFX (wanted to support small pedal builders). My Source Audio as there were no 2nd hand at the time.....thats it really. Si

What are your opinions on the BMS Classic vs BMS XO? Si

£600????? I'll stick to my DM-3 & Akai :-D (yes I know it's very different) Looks great though, I wonder if they'll send you one to A/B against the TC Shep Si

I should think I'll be along Si
My guitarist in my lil local band has done he same too! Engl Powerball and GM2 via a MIDI board. Great sound and so easy to set up. Very tidy too!
But where's the fun in that, you can't collect/hoard digital effect patches?! Si
-
Maybe look out for A Bogdan Polish Love, it's largely considered to be the higher gain version of the Hate. I've got one and it sounds great, although needs a good service for unwanted hiss. I also have a Fuzzrocious Grey Stache incoming, gated and oscillatiing . Look at CoPilot FX's offerings too, I have the Orbit and it's a pretty versatile Fuzz with VCO Si

Depends where he gets a lot of his components, enclosures etc etc. If they're coming from US, then postage saving from him is probably significant, probably nearly enough to pay 3Leaf!? Plus it's how he values his time developing new products. Si

If you read the whole TB thread they mention that the cost to the UK should be about the same....or thereabouts. This is because they should see a slight drop in the retail price, which somewhat offsets any extra costs with customs etc. I suppose this is yet to be seen. Si
