1.
if you exclude the top end, and custom made stuff - it seems if you name a bass and go hunting for it you can find one in the 500-600 price range. then theres a gap and other stuff floating around £1000
So......mid-priced stuff then?! Si
2. They must not feel much about their cabs, they mention 400w peak, I assume from the Amp at 8ohms, are they suggesting that if the Cab has a number of peaked signal instances, it will crap out? Bearing in mind that would require you to run your amp fairly flat out...which most don't. Standard Amp, Standard Cab, will work fine together if used moderately. Si
3. I'm afraid you'll need to post prices on the Fretless & Double Neck. If you're not sure, please remove them from the post until you are, these are the For Sale rules. Best of luck with the sale, beautiful basses! Cheers Si
4. Same here, got my '71 Precision last year, barely used anything since, and I have 3 other Jazzes, including a '73 Jazz. That's the bass I feel most guilty about......I dont't think the '73 Jazz has done a gig since the P joined me ....even my Jazz5 and my '03 Jazz have had a look in. But I will keep the '73......unless someone wants to part ex a 60's Fender?! :-D Oops Si
5.
Saw them in London for their Ghost Reveries tour, my fave album!

Haven't quite gotten into Heritage, but then I haven't given it the time it no-doubt needs!

Si
6. Again, I've never had what I would call a diminished treble with my Bass Terror, and I'm mostly using a P-bass with old rounds, always through a Barefaced Compact (1x15). Could be the Matamp cab combo?! I've never used one so I don't know. Si
7. Hey bud, I don't know, is a warranty worth £140? I've never taken advantage of one so I'm not sure I think I paid around £30 for the tubes too. Cheers Si
8. Hi guys, Have my eyes on something so looking to maybe moving on my Orange Bass Terror. You should all know about these, but if not, take a look here: http://www.orangeamp...error-bass-500/ I've upgraded the tubes in the preamp to 12AT7WA / ECC81 Philips / Mullard NOS Matched Pair. These are slightly lower gain and so the head stays cleaner for longer than the stock ECC83/12AX7 tubes, but this is still a very loud amp, especailly seeing as you can put the full 500w into 8ohms via it's ohmage switch. I will include the original tubes with the purchase if you want though. The DI output is reduced slightly, but is still quite hot, but I've never had an issue as I've always used a Sansamp for my DI instead. Excellent conditon and comes with the standard carry case and the box. A fair price seems to be £350 + postage, any interest?, I would prefer collection in the South Bucks, Herts, London area. Pics will be available tomrrow eve (Thurs), but it really is just a standard looking Terror Also, part exchange against a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 is most welcome! Thanks Si
9. Ah ok, they would probably explain it Si
10. I'm sure I could only see one string on his bass?! Muse hate miming, so it may well have been his middle-finger to the organisers no-doubt asking them to behave lol. Perhaps I was seeing it wrong though Oh, it was a Status Si

new pedal day!!

Sweeeeet, discontinued very recently! Ry makes some great pedals (I have a Grey Stache from him). Enjoy Si
12. Also potentially interested in the Midget if a split is happening Individual prices? Si
13. I think old Fenders have very different spec's and feels to them. For example, my '73 Jazz is VERY different to my '03 Jazz. Yes you can get modern re-issues, but it comes down to that age-old "do you want an approximation, or the real thing?". For me, I have two 'vintage' basses, and two modern versions, they all get used for different things, with my '71 P getting used most. Si
14. Beautiful bass, I'm a big fan of Brubaker's SC shape!! Good luck, at least 1 string too many for me Si
15.
The new board in action last Thursday (snapped by a friend in the audience...)
I love how it looks 'normal' sized......and then you realise it's half the band name longer! Si
16. Precisely why I have 6 OC-2s .......ummmmm ....just in case?! Si
17. How much for the PSA-240? (you'll need to list it anyway) Cheers Si
18. It's around the 1000 mark for 10 years of gigging. I'm hoping to have another 40 years in me Si
19. Oh it would be in a flight case of sorts, I mean for transporting more than at home. I'm very interested in the 500-800 comparisons. I've currently got a Little Mark 2 and so i'm trying to get more headroom than that has into 8ohms Si
20. What are people thinking of these now? Honeymoon period over? I was thinking about the TTE800, simply so I can have 500 watts into one cab, rather than say 350 into 8ohms that the TTE500 probably offers. Anyone tried the 800's yet? any noticeable difference in tone? Are these ok to be stored on their side? Tubes etc? Thanks Si
21. The Big Muff is quite a soft sounding Fuzz as it is, it's not running something like LEDs for clipping etc. For a company best known for their Muff, they've never quite got it right for Bass IMO Si
22. Go look at the Fuzzrocious Grey Stache, it's based on the GGG Big Muff, but with a Mid control and diode options. I had the same issue when I had a standard Big Muff, great sound but not giggable. My Grey Stache changed all that Si
23. I guess, although the PS-6 is at least half the size! lol Si

I did always think that Aguilar got the design of their enclosures wrong. Si
