Pictures? Box included? Oh I really shouldn't lol, don't suppose you wanna part-ex my Boss Slow Gear? hehe Si
2. Precisely, thanks Shep. It was purposely built like that, not a fault/mod, but was quickly changed in later versions for obvious reasons I guess. As mention, this could be modded so the LED is latching too, but I've kept it original. Cheers Si
3. I can totally vouch for this pedal! I have one of the BassBoosts in a slightly larger format /box and it's fantastic! Hasn't been off my board since I got it Buy it now Si
4. Very cool, such a great song to noodle about on! The Zoot sounds quality too! Si
5. Hey, thanks Yeah it's in fantastic condition considering it's age. I should think it will go on ebay, but thought I'd offer it here first Cheers Si
6. Hi guys, Have my eye on something, so thought I'd move this on. Rare, May 1979 (as decoded by the Boss Area serial number machine) Slow Gear SG-1. Volume swells on the fly without a volume pedal. This is the rarer silver screw edition, it features quirky circuitry whereby the effect is latching, but the LED on the pedal is momentary. WHY?? you ask, who knows, those crazy Japanese pedal designers. This is corroborated by notes in the schematic: http://schematics.ci...1291369545z.jpg The later version of the pedal changed this, and you could mod the LED on this to be latching.....but I've kept it original. SOLD Cheers Si
7. I'm not asking what is better....simply how they compare & contrast Cheers Si
8. Cheers guys I haven't played fretless for years, and that was an unfinished rosewood board. Thinking I'll go Ebony, then I can always epoxy it at a later date...harder to go the other way I suspect Thanks Si
9. Hi guys Just wondered if I could gain some opinions on epoxied rosewood fingerboards verses non-epoxied ebony fingerboards. Things I'm interested in thoughts/personal experience of: Sound/tone Wear with round/flatwounds Feel Cheers Si
10. Yeah that price is wishful thinking at best Looks nice though! Si
11. It won't be based on the OC-3 as that has the fuzz option, but then the OC-3 will be based on the OC-2 pedal obviously. I have an ME-50b too, and while the sounds on their are obviously based on their single-pedal counterparts, I always favoured the OC-2 over the multi version. But then I'm biased....I have three OC-2s :-P Si
12. Definitely not a '69. Refin at best, re-badged jap-crap at worst Si
13. Have to say that I've never played a Jazz that has touched my USA one I had one of the Squier CV's for a little while, and while they're really great basses for the money, it didn't come close to my US J. What they're worth from a monetary point of view is totally subjective and completely influenced by your personal circumstances. Si
14. I think a weight would definitly help this move Si
15. Hi Rick, Please post prices for each bass, and I suppose a pair price too. Beautiful basses...I might even be tempted lol Thanks Si
16. Most people are gonna chip in with what they use.....so I'll just come out and say that, if you can get one, the Boss CS-2 is great, my fave that I've tried. It's a classic case of trying a lot and seeing what suits you Si
17. Hi there, Lovely bass, but please post a price for it, otherwise the listing will be removed. Good luck Si
18. Really cool pedals, always gonna be useable Si
19. Anyone popping along to see Juan Alderete's side/solo project next Tuesday 24th Apr? If you're unaware, he's the fx pedal guru who plays bass for Mars Volta http://bigsir.bandcamp.com/ I'm driving up on my own from High Wycombe, so if anyone is going, lemme know Si
20. I can't wait to get my PN-2 onto my board, just after my Orbit omnomnomnom Si
21. The FEA looks nice, but it's not really catering for a pedal channel switching/mixing setup?!. Only two channel inputs, which means that you have to have an extra splitter at the start of your chain, send through the relevent pedal loops, then into the channel mixer. It also looks like you can only swap channel 2 in and out, so you couldn't select it independantly of channel 1 without bending down and turning the gain for 1 all the way down?! Si
22.
i always just cut the velcro into thin strips and put it round the edge of the boss pedals rubber, worked for years with no problems, in fact i think the tu2 i did it to was the most secure pedal on my board
Yeah that's exactly what I do, mostly to preserve all the Japanese Black Labels lol Si
