Sold some straplocks to Mark. He PM'd me, paid instantly, and I sent them the next day. The definition of an easy and pleasant sale Cheers bud Si
2. My buddy is selling a 30th Anniversary Stingray (obviously just a 'H'), pretty much mint, one tiny dent I think. A fair bit less than what you paid new. I have to say I would also never buy blind, I have trouble buying a bass that I haven't tried at a gig, let alone one I haven't seen at all. Glad Darren @ Bass Merchant is on top of it though. It sounds like you should take the refund, follow up your issues with EBMM, and look elsewhere. I tried a lovely Sadowsky Metro in The Gallery a couple of years ago, £1600 then, but lovely bass! Si
3. Think this is my fave of all the videos Si
4. Some people find it empowering to do it....weird huh. If she's so talented, why has she spent the last 10 years with a deal, writing for others....oh wait, that doesn't work. Some people choose to come out and perform, why should they be lynched for it? Si
5.
Here today, gone tomorrow... Good luck to her and all who sail with her. But it's not music that has any longevity to it, IMHO.
Yup, pop music has only been around for....what?...2 years, something like that?! Si
6. Ok cool, thanks, so that covers block colours and things like that, but what about little designs and details etc, what do people use on their boutique pedals....like Wooly Mammoths and the like?! Cheers Si
7. Hurrow, Looking to paint a couple of plain metal enclosures (they're just unfinished metal). What is the best paint/varnish to use? I'm litereally coming at this with no knowledge at all Cheers Si
8. For sale or trade: Speaker Cabinet feet - New, opened but un-used. i bought them to stack my Barefaced, but they weren't quite right. £7 + postage I'd be up for trades for George L bits, right angle plugs or .155 cable. Cheers Si

10. I found the ODB-3 to be completely useless I have to say. its all fizz, with no distortion in the low end. I've had much better results from the Boss Mega Distortion, think I picked up mine from ebay for £30 inc adapter and postage. Si
11.
I thought maybe you had taken the one from BassDirect.......
Que?? Si
12.
Biiig wide all-leather & straplocks for me. None of this plastic nonsense!
+1 I had a strap go at a gig about 6 years ago and it was the plastic buckle, caught my bass but had to do a song knelt down on my haunches. I use Klondike straps on everything now, wide, comfortable all-leather straps Si
13. The Krampera was a fair bit smaller than I thought it was gonna be! Si
14. What a fun day huh, actually I think it was the best one I've been too, just from a personal perspective, found it pretty productive from an 'ideas' point of view. Cheers Shep et al. Sorry I had to leave at 2pm, had to get back to Bucks to get the van to Southampton....was in at 5am , only to get up at 9 to go to the London Tattoo Convention. Had my foot tattooed and now I'm hopping everywhere....what a weekend haha. My BassBash rig: Cheers Si
15. Very cool, if this sounds anything like Shep's fretless 6, it'll be a hell of a purchase for someone. Si
16. Hey all Cheers guys....I haven't actually seen it yet haha, a few people have written on my facebook about it yesterday and thats the first I heard about it, it was submitted about 6months ago. Gear changes since the article was submitted include the Jap Squier P going and a '71 P added, as well as another Compact now (2 in total). Looking forward to getting hold of it Si
17.
the smile which never leaves his face I start to find strange (try it yourself to smile all of the time like he does while you're playing, you feel like The Joker after a while).
I think the point is that he's not 'trying' to smile.....if you have to 'try' to smile when you're playing, something is wrong imo, it should just happen because you love what you're doing! Si
18. I've never seen a Bona gig that has been anything other than mind-blowing. Find it incredibly strange that other bass players should be saying he should lay the bass down when he is such an inspiration, at the same time as doing the vocal/guitar thing....very odd. Usually at gigs he's very refined with his playing, he steps out with solos and fills etc, but you can always see that he's just having fun and a lot of it is pretty tongue in cheek, he's no serious jazzer! Si
19. Wow, someone using an OC-3, don't see many of those lol.....seems like the OC-2 is the standard Si
20. Ah you do the Rock Choir, very good Yeah Tom sang for my function band for a couple of years, still does the odd one here and there, but don't get to see him as often as I should...one of the good guys Cya Saturday Si
21.
Will sort that for you Si. BTW Tom G says Hi.
Hi Dave, I've sorted patch cables now thank-you, but I still need a pedal power cable Haha, how do you know Tom? Si
22. Got some George L cabling (around 150cm) and 10 right angle solderless connectors on ebay for £37 inc postage. Think thats ok!? lol At least that'll free up some spacial options on my board I hope Si
23.
Aye it's annoying - I could stand around chatting about music and or bass all day especially with so many likeminded people but life and music sometimes have to come first, I've got 4 quite important gigs coming up and reheasing on Saturday is the one chance we have before the first gig on Monday night - so doing, rather than talking about bass is the order of the day I'm afraid - see you next year I hope Mike
Ah thats a shame man, was looking forward to your class Will definitely have come in and catch a gig/get a coffee with you soon Si
24. Just really expensive lol, any similar alternatives? Si
