Cheers for the suggestions all, I literally borrowed it and went straight to a gig so had limited time during setup to have a play......and I got frustrated lol. Will play a bit more with the level, character control and drive and report back. Si

Only just saw the other replies after I did mine. Yes, I can see the benifit of driving a power-amp with that juice, but as jonny mentioned, utterly useless in front of a 'regular' setup. Could take the knob off to stop it being knocked, but still doesn't make the range of the control pretty useless Cheers though Si

I'm talking lots more sensitive though, I'm running the drive quite heavy as I want an overdriven sound, but the level I can't adjust a hair without witnessing a massive jump in volume. It's currently on around 8 o'clock, which leaves 9-5 completely useless volume. At a gig, if it got knocked from say 8 to 10, the level difference would be horrendous. It's probably fine in the studio as it doesn't get moved about, but gig box and onstage doesn't seem ideal. Would there be a way of modding the level control to reduce the range/sensitivity of the pot do you think? Si
5. Well he's not doing too well then, according to his Twitter, he's just bought another Jazz bass in Tokyo lol Si

....but does the level control render it utterly useless as a gigging pedal?? Think I had it about 9 o'clock and it was feeding back. Was making the tiniest tiniest increment changes to get a decent level between off and on, but then what if it gets knocked?! Anyone successfully changed the range of the level?, I can't think of any situation that you'd need it to go as loud as it can. I'm only borrowing it, and it sounds like there's some great sounds, but I just gave up after 10mins of tiny adjustments at my gig. Unplugged it and packed it away before we started Si
7. All the Jazzes look very 'asian', by that I mean all the brands like Willow, Atielier, Bacchus have a particular vibe I think. The Willow singlecut is lush Si
8. Hello mate Seemingly it was re-sold by Devinebass?!, four years ago, I PM'd him. I suspect the bass got sold off-site though Si
9. That ERB Benavente is rediculous (in a good way)......it looks like a fat person Si
10. I can find the original 'For Sale' thread, but its not obvious who bought it.....and the seller didn't reply to my PM lol Si
11. 9 month bump.....on the off-chance? Si

Delay!

Best Delay I've heard is my guitarist's Boss DM-2......yeah good luck finding a cheap one (he was given his lol) But the new DD-7 has a model of it apparently Si
13. Great pedal, love mine Great price too, good luck Si
14.
Pm'd
What you after here Dave? As this hasn't been updated, I've had the Slow Gear off Max Si
15.
.. that this quest for the perfect bass bullshit, is BULLSHIT! Being on basschat has somewhat corrupted my thinking, that I need a bass that's perfect for me. I don't. I need a good bass, good strings, and my brain. That is all. I've been playing, not talking, and I have found out that all I need is a decent bass. There is little difference between any of the basses I have had, only practical things. Playing and thinking about music has shown me that any decent bass will do. I've talked about bass far too long. When you actually PLAY, you start getting a more real connection with yourself, and the instrument itself becomes less and less important. Your LIFE is what is important. Live it and you will speak though your bass.
Mate...you should have asked....coulda told you this ages ago Si
16. Our setup is (venue dependant): Full PA, 2x bins, 2x tops etc, fully mic'd kit, 4 vocals, guitar backline mic'd, bass backline DI'd, lights etc. Normally takes us about an hour chilled setup, but we've done it as fast as 40mins when pushed, thats loading from the van to ready-to-play. Everyone knows their job and what needs doing. We do a lot of gigs, so we're simply well practised. We never soundcheck either, we just know our sound, our gear and what is needed. Quickest setup we've done was a rushed stripped down setup, no bins/drum mics/DI's etc, and that was 20mins from arriving in van to playing first song lol Si
17. +1 for OBBM This could go on for a while! lol Si
18. Man....I just want a decent overdrive....that is 9v lol Si
19. I use Copilot FX Orbit, swapped out my silver Big Muff for it. Its pretty amazing, standard Fuzz sounds with adjustable gate & ring-mod sections. I had mine built with a blend control, so I still have all my clean signal going through with the effect....perfect Si
20.
I'm bummed that they don't still make the Rumblefish or the Brad Houser model anymore.
Me too man, would love a Rumblefish, pretty rare now though Si
21. Had two Japanese Boss pedals off Rich, exact condition that he described, great prices, very fast delivery, great packaging, great comms. What more could you want? Cheers bud Si
22. GMR are a polish custom shop....they're opening a shop with this Daniel guy in Denmark street? Si
23.
Bugger it, booked my flights for my trip to Finland last night and have now just realised I'm gonna miss this by a day, which is fairly gutting. I think in lieu of this I'm going to instigate a London Bass pint night perhaps for sometime soon, let me know if anyone would be interested in a general social gathering in some central London pub!
Talk to HappyJack or Clarky, this happens fairly regularly (well compared to the bashes lol) Si
24. Yup, definitly a false economy here, would be very difficult to keep it even with a live drummer....and you'd constatly be foot tapping. Practice playing Si
25. Good luck with the sale Tom. Have you tried any short scale basses? Si
