1. Pre-work bump Might also consider a Jazz Fretless shaped idea as a part-ex, again, probably around the £300 mark + cash Cheers Si
2. Omnomnomnom, can't believe this is going Loser Nige is a standup guy, so deal with confidence Si
3. That's a hell of a colour , similar to the Sherwood Green custom colour of old lol. Would be very interested if I wasn't saving for something else. Lemme know if u fancy an '83 Jazz in part-ex Si
4. Yeah I've never had any issues with any transaction on here! It seems a bit harsh (although I can understand frustrating) to lambast someone who tries a bass, simply because its not for them.....even if they did get too excited and say they "definitely wanted it". How many times have we all gone "Awwww I'd LOVE a warwick/fender/fodera, only to try one and really not feel it. I would suggest it prudent to assume you have NOT made a sale until the money is in your hand, regardless of what anyone says, and act accordingly in how you pursue the sale. Easy Si
5. I'm just gonna pop this to General Bass I think....it's not a FS thread anymore Chars Si

I don't know the weight....but it certainly wasn't heavy when I played it! If I'm being honest (and don't tell Jim), but I think this sounds better than his Roscoes ...pick it up while you can! Si

9.
There's also a 1979 StingRay up for sale here in Poland for roughly £1400 (!) - from the pics it looks to be all okay, but there's a bit too much mojo for my tastes!
Thats very nice Si

14. I just sold an early 70's (long G intonation screw) for £120. But yeah anywhere from 80-200 depending how lucky/gullible you are lol, and what condition it's in. Si

19.
7.25" radius? blimey. personally, i think to buy a bass thats already dirty is stupid. buy a fresh one and dirty it yourself you lazy bum.
They do a NOS version if Relics aren't your thing Si
20.
I'm feeling a bit like the bad guy here. I bought this from here for £1195: http://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/basses/siennajazz.htm As you can see it is original apart from the pots which were changed at some point. I trust Mark's judgement on this and on any other bass that I've bought from him. When I sent this to Bob it was working perfectly. I can only assume that any problems occured in transit. I have apologised for any misunderstanding with this, when I first read the advert it sounded as though I deliberately sold a bass that wasn't working properly. I would never do that. I have lost over £200 on this bass. Tom.
Sorry Tom, I certainly didn't mean for it to sound like you're the bad guy, far from it! As we've discussed previously, the issue with the pickup may not have been picked up (sic) even if it had been present before transit. It was still giving output, but just sounded weak/thin, so I had it checked out. But yes, very possibly happened in transit, they do get rattled around. Cheers Si
21. They could leave the factory as both single or two-piece....the 80's spec's were quite loose . But I agree, the single piece/ply ones look cheap to me. Si
22. I was led to believe when I purchased this that the current 2-piece is original, but I suppose anything is possible?!. If anything, I think this looks better, not keen on the single-piece ones....aren't they single ply too?!. Have to say, the screws didn't even even register with me when I took the plate off, must have been late/early lol. I've said to myself that I might take a G&L Tribute L2000 in part ex, preferably in Sunburst, obviously with the rest in cash. Gonna try and do some sound clips today! Cheers for all the comments guys Si

Have played this....very cool bass. I didn't get long with it (couple of tunes at a jam), and I didn't even look at the preamp lol, but what I really took away from the experience is how perfectly the bass balances when wearing it! Si
