1. I remeber when I first started out, I learned the entirety of Rage Against The Machine & Evil Empire...and Fashion Nugget by Cake too Si
2. Back up for sale after a brief spell 'pending' Cheers Si
3. Get in touch with Malcolm at Newtone strings! They'll do whatever tension you want with whatever gauge you you want, custom wound, for no more money than a set of rotos. But u're right, it's all in core size/shape Lovely Si
4. Dunno if others have said, but I'm working with KRK 8400 headphones, and they're fantastic!. When I eventually add the saffire pro 24 DSP into the equation, I'll be a happy bunny Si
5. I've forwarded the link to Andy Si
6. See, I think this vid is just a very bog standard Victor video. Now don't get me wrong, I think he's a stunning player, but he's the first to admit that all the slap and tickle is largely just to show off a particular technique or piece of equipment!. His groove and phrasing is stunning, and sometimes I think his fancy techniques over shadow that stuff, but hey, pays the rent . Where he really shines for me.....and I mean REALLY shines, is his teaching concepts. His DVD 'Groove Workshop' left me feeling genuinely inspired, like much more than simply wanting to pick my bass up....deeper than that. Similar feeling to how I felt after watching Richard Bona's DVD.....which isn't instructional in the slightest lol Si
7.
I have to say, it doesn't look much like Camilla Parker-Bowles ...
Joking aren't you, she resembles it perfectly 'Orrible looking basses Si
8.
If I sold both my MMs and the status I could maybe just about afford this, Damn the wife saw me typing......
Surely she realises that 3 down to 1 is good!? Si
9. Definitely, there is a lot of people that consider the 2eq to be closer in sound to early stingrays than the 3eq. Me?....my amp EQ is all I need lol. Best preamp I've ever played has been a 2band! Si
10. I was under the impression that with active/passive basses, even when passive is selected, the battery will still run down from being plugged in?! Si
11. I wouldn't say there's any hard and fast rules about starting on 4 vs 5, there's a bit more muting technique necessary on a 5, but learning it early isn't a bad thing. Music is music, there's no difference going from 4s to 5s or vice versa in my opinion, if you have good technique and an understanding of the instrument, you'll nail it in 5 mins either way. Of course, if you don't know why u want a five string...why pay the extra money for one?, it's not really the case that it's more versatile, otherwise we'd all be playing 8 strings!. Usually it's building from the ground up, getting to know your preference, which is why most start on 4's. Buy second hand but do your research, get recommendations etc Si
12. Lol, trying to save yourself from it? Si
13. I'd do the gig for sure! I love playing live, I can find something I enjoy about a song 99% of the time in a live setting....playing live is a very different experience to just listening IMO, it transcends taste preference for me. Let's face it, biebers band would probably be full of great musicians, you'd always learn from them! Si
14. Thats the idea buddy, pay you off over time Si
15. Nothing wrong with 80's Fenders, just gotta find a good one...they're just different to their 60's/70's counterparts. Oh...I have one for sale btw Si
16. Eugh, don't dangle the carrot of possibility like that . Gonna bump it before I start hatching ridiculous financial schemes haha! (I saved a pic of it on my phone and also posted it to Facebook.....sad much?!) Si

18.
Uncontrollable GAS. Only thing that's stopping me is cash flow. Such a beautiful bass.
Lemme know if it changes , maybe we could sort out a low-interest payment plan Tis indeed a beautiful bass Cheers Si
