Love that last vid! Some amazing ideas and techniques! I'm getting into all this with my Dub-steppy Hiphop band, slightly limited funds (no double Mooger Froogers and Moog bass pedals for me)....but its fun anyway. I've found the best tool at my disposal so far is the OC-2 with no direct signal (obviously playing an octave higher than you normally would), some chorus on it, sounds very dub! Si

Sorry....just re-read your post Umph and you do mention a "pot in series".....so yes a knob as I put it haha. I assume the pot you mention is to change the level of the gate? Cheers Si

Ok, I think that makes sense. For clarity, the pedal will have less gain ability?....so you'd have to turn up the gain to achieve the same level pre-mod?! Ummm, what if you wanted to attenuate the gate via an added control-knob? Si

Just did a quick google and found this: Is this all it is? (said as if I know what it means): [i]"Noise gate mod: This mod will quieten the Muff while not playing, thus a noise gate. To do this, add a 100k trimpot (wired as a variable resistor) parallel to the 100k to ground of the second gain stage (R14). The trimpot can be adjusted to taste to get the max noise gate effect."[/i] I'm guessing I can get my dad to do it (electronics professional)?! Anyone tried it? Si

Ummm, pretty much what the title says really. I've got a Big Muff, that I love the sound of, but wouldn't mind adding a gate function to it. Anyone know it it's possible, or anyone who can do it? Cheers Si

Thinking of upgrading soon, so wanted to gauge the feeling on this! It's the older style Mini 1x15, with the square handles, off-centre logo and porting on the rear! Quick question about the cloth grill?! Is it particularly hardy at all?. Also, what kinda covers are you doing now, would it be possible to affix a harder material (Thick card or something) within the front of the cover to protect the cloth a little better!? Cheers Si

Never heard of Fender using Brass scratchplates!? Pretty sure all the late 70's/early 80's plates were black or white. Apart from the '57 Reissue, which was obviously anodized gold. Si
