Was it Find The Escape? Si

Where we at then? Seeing as Alien is in Milton Keynes after me, I might try and get it to him and visit Andy Viccars at the same time Si
Nice colour match around the decal.
All aged Fenders look like that around the decal. Check out the Custom Shop Time Machine series, they make it look like that too I think it looks nice, still looks like a '68 Si

I don't know about James, but I have seen pics of Simon Neil (Biffy frontman) using Squiers before. So even if they're not using the current signatures over their CS's, they've supported the Squier name in the past!. In any case, Signatures Squiers are to get the kids playing, nothing more Si

I have, and use A LOT, a 2003 MIA Jazz (with S1). It's fantastic and the benchmark that all other basses have to live up to.......none have yet, and although I love my 1973 Jazz, that doesn't either (although it may well do after the refret it needs). So although I agree that you probably have to shop around, and I'd probably go second hand as the RRP is a bit steep, I think they're worth a punt! Si

Yup, am potentially willing to post at your cost, would have to find a price, but think it would be around £10. There is no neck-dive at all, just strapped it on (and I wear my basses quite high) and no dive. My gf even tried it out just now, she has experience of Thunder birds having bad dive, and thinks this bass is great for balance Pictures can be provided haha Si

Hurrow all I've decided that this could do with moving on, I realise that it's not worth much to anyone but me seeing as it's been a project bass for around 8 years haha. You may remember it from these two threads: [topic="5336"]Main Build[/topic] [topic="60626"]Jazz Pickup addition[/topic] Spec is: Body - Pearl White (has a nice 'sheen' to it). Alder (I think), it's certainly comparable in weight to my Alder bodied US Jazz (could double check for sure somehow) Neck - Maple Allparts Jazz neck with S9 serial Fender decal Tuners - Gotoh standard Fender replacements Bridge - Generic Fender style Pickgurard - Generic 3ply W/B/W Pickups - one Dimazio Model P & one Dimarzio Model J Electronics - CTS mini pots and all well shielded So yeah, it is what it is, a very solid and substantial bass, without being heavy (around 9lbs). A couple of dings on the body which I can photograph closer if necessary, but nothing you would see from a distance. Neck is in mint condition. SOLD Cheers Si

I still maintain that Andrew Borger is one of my faves, he really plays around with this song whilst keeping the groove! Si
Hi Si, well done on the job front. Save your money, you have some wicked basses already.
You are of course right, I have some lovely basses, three in particular. But there are two that could get replaced by even lovelier ones. My Drop C OLP Stingray and my parts P/J are both currently not Jazz Basses lol, something needs to be done :-P
Good news Si. Will you get a trade discount?
I should think so, although like I said, they don't really carry a lot of stock, so I'm not sure what's available to me....I know they deal with Fender time-to-time Si

....in a guitar shop....pretty small one, but it's a wage! Over the last few weeks (while the job has been pending), I've been window-shopping my non-existing pay packets on the following: - Custom Shop Fender Jazz - Status Vintage GP - a lightweight backup amp Fortunately all of this is looking a lot more likely now .............now do I put in the order for the CS!? Si
-
Anyway Does anyone have any pics or info about the line of Jazz & Precision style basses that Status used to do? I'm talking about the line that preceded the current 'Vintage' line! Any ideas? Cool Si

Hahahahaha, was literally just checking this thread again and my Sister pops up on facebook telling me to watch this: Hehe Si
My other issue is that if you sell a custom...you never usually get the value back that it should retain.
Yeah but that's the same with any bass guitar, or instrument in general, that isn't a vintage Fender lol Si
