I doubt the average Slipknot fan has £1k to spend on a bass.
Isn't Paul Grey's endorsement and signature model with Ibanez? (yes i know he played thumbs) Mike, is that streamer you sold one that you got from Mike Walsh at The Bass Merchant? If so, that's a beautiful bass, played it while i was there about a year ago. Warwickhunt, yeah good luck with shifting yours to, maybe you and my friend should hook up with putting them in the gallery, they can advertise them as a matched pair haha! Cheers Si

Ok, I'm listing this for a very good friend of mine! (so the price isn't down to me) Its a Warwick Streamer Stage One 5 String, all stock as far as I'm aware, apart from the Birdseye maple body. I've seen Flame Maple bodied Streamers, but not Birdseye! Whether it was a really limited run, or Custom Shop I'm not sure!. The condition is excellent, although there is some finger wear around the tops of each pickup where the thumb rests (pictured) and some tiny scuffs on the end of the headstock (also pictured). He's in London and wants [s]£1600[/s] £1,100 ono for it! I think it's just a softcase with it, although I could be wrong, I'll double check If you're interested and wanna chat to him about price or anything really...gimme a PM and i'll send you his number. It's also now housed at The Gallery in Camden if you want to go and have a try! Cheers Si SOLD
Plus - when you stand your P-bass next to your amp - it doesn't fall over like a Jazz bass does.......... That's why Jaco's is so scarred
Weird, my Jazz bass stands up much much better then my P-Bass (which, to keep the essence of the thread going, I LOVE lol). Si

Hey all My friend wants to sell his Warwick Streamer 5, but is unsure about what it's worth. As far as I'm aware, it's just a stock Stage 1, except for the fact that the body is Birdseye Maple rather then standard maple! The bass seems to be immaculate except for some fingerwear on the body near the pickups (pictures available) and some slight scuffs on the headstock due to low ceilings (pictures available). I'm unsure of the year, but can find out, I think its safe to assume its not incredibly old Any ideas? I think i saw a very similar bass albeit a Flamed maple body listed here for £1000? Cheers Si

I saw Akercocke support Opeth a couple of years ago....I thought they sucked, and come across as incredibly pretentious what with all the satanism stuff. But hey, each to their own of course . Opeth were funny though....Acknowledging to the crowd that while their name was similar, they weren't 'OTEP' and then saying in a rather Tongue-In-Cheek manner about one of their songs "Yeah all you guys will love this song....Its really Evil!!" haha Si

If you want a decent version of Akercocke, check out OPETH Si

Isn't it worth just writing into the BassChat rules that: "If any member is to visit Jon Shuker's Workshop, he/she is obligated to take photo evidence of all builds currently undertaken by said Luthier" Cos lets face it, the only work Jon gets is from this board! Si

I guess this is another good attempt at plugging my band!? :-D FIRST SIGNS OF FROST Agreed, Rock and for that case any genre means different things to different people. I think there was a thread a while ago that got people to list the Rock/Metal they were listening to at that time! So I might go again! A Perfect Circle Sikth Tool Coheed & Cambria Dillinger Escape Plan Exit Ten Meshuggah Slipknot Theres a lot more in my collection, but those seem to be whats on iPod rotation for me 'Rock/Metal' wise! (where the 'Folk' thread?) Si p.s. I agree that Nothing is Meshuggahs best work p.p.s. Have you ever read read an interview with Myung......he's sooooooooooo boring lol

My friend mentioned to me yesterday "oh I found an old bass in my dads cupboard"....."yeah? what is it"...."It says Fender Mustang on the headstock" So I immediately got him to bring it to me haha! The serial number dates it to early 1976, its in the 500,000's So yeah, what do we think?. The finish has been stripped, although a luthier friend of mine said that the lacquer coat over what is now the natural finish could still be original, as Fender tended to treat the natural bodies, then paint them!? There's one string ferrule missing from the through body stringing, and unless pearl white wasn't standard as a scratchplate style then, I'd say everything else looks original!! Si

Make sure that both of you actually do say Hi, it would be silly having 3 of us in the same room and not talking haha! Si

Do it!! And its with DSHS, so should be awesome! Si

Good stuff, I prefer all their other stuff to SHA though Si

I've used an E2 a fair bit, never had any troubles with noise or anything. Its great as far as I'm concerned, you won't get super long loop times out of them, 21 seconds i think it is for one loop to play over the top, with 16 seconds if you want to loop & layer it indefinitely. You could spend more on other loopers like the Boss stuff or some rack stuff, but it all depends how serious you want the kit to be! The first track on my personal myspace (link in my sig) is the E2 at work! Si
-
Geee, I hadn't thought of that Cheers though Si p.s. Not only is sarcasm the lowest form of wit.....its also quite difficult to put across on a forum lol...but i tried

You arse!!! I thought i'd gotten lucky with such a quick reply lol Looks like a cool band tour van! Si

Well its worth a go! Following on from my "Someone wrote my car off" thread........ I need a car lol Obviously trying all the other avenues, but thought I'd maximize my chances and prey on the board member's tendancies to move on pieces of equipment when something new and shiny appears! :-D Colour - Preferably Black, Dark Red, Dark Green.......something dark you know......not white Age unimportant but is pretty much restricted by my budget and the younger it is, the sillier my insurance gets, so looking around '98 (S reg) to '01....... ish Mileage should be as low as possible obviously, but not over 110,000 preferably My budget is around £3,500 give or take (i would prefer to save a little obviously, but whatever) Cheers all! Si *sits back and waits to wade through the replies!*
