3. And I use the word 'Solo' quite wrongly Its basically a multitracked piece, all bass + drum machine, that i wrote for a shopping centre promo video. It goes for a minute and a bit then basically loops for another 3 with some very slight variations!. www.myspace.com/simonrpoulton Its the second track on the player, The Art Of Selling Yourself Short, I named if for my own reasons. The other newish track is the 4th track, When The Water Rises Up, which was a Blues'ish session that I did! Cheers, Enjoy Si
4. I think the thing is have a branding that looks good! If you have anything toooo bass orientated, it might come across as a bit geeky perhaps I wouldn't wear anything that had a big bass clef or picture of a bass....having said that, i do have a Bassist Mug lol Si
5. Looks nice! Kudos to him for actually saying its a Squire, but yeah, bit pricey! Si

10. What make are the pickups and hardware? Is the body alder or basswood? Is it a handmade body or a replacement? (I ask because the neck pickup rout is the size of one that would normally be found underneath a pickguard, and if he made it as a Jaco Tribute, why would there be a pickguard?) If you're not aware of any of this, is there a way you can find out from the chap who made it? Cheers Si
11. Where did you see a '78 Musicmaster for £130????? Si
12. Looking good! I love those Hipshots! Got them on my Lakkie and want some for my Jazz Project. Where did you get yours? I assume they're the larger posted ones!? Si
13. I have to say, pending actually hearing one, I'd be very interested in one of the LG 1000's as a backup to my ABM EVOII 500. If it sounds anything like the MB F1, it'll be monstrous!! Dood how you getting on with yours? Si
14. Very good, loved it! Obviously it helps if you're aware of the original The Malmsteen one is (was?) classic youtube! Si

16. Pipe Organs Rule!!! Si
17. It does seem a shame to cover that sexy grain!! How about a partial p-bass plate to cover the rout, jazz bass styley, but maybe a bit more slimline, so just covering the rout.......and made of wood Then put some pickup surrounds around the pickups to cover the gaps, Yamaha BB styley. Si

Weddings

We're a slightly rockier modern covers band and we get plenty of weddings. People who are getting married now are (mostly) the younger generation, IMO they don't want WetWetWet and Robson & Jerome. We're doing a wedding in August where we've been asked if we can do some Rage Against The Machine........oh yesss Si
