1. What make are the pickups and hardware? Is the body alder or basswood? Is it a handmade body or a replacement? (I ask because the neck pickup rout is the size of one that would normally be found underneath a pickguard, and if he made it as a Jaco Tribute, why would there be a pickguard?) If you're not aware of any of this, is there a way you can find out from the chap who made it? Cheers Si
2. Where did you see a '78 Musicmaster for £130????? Si
3. Looking good! I love those Hipshots! Got them on my Lakkie and want some for my Jazz Project. Where did you get yours? I assume they're the larger posted ones!? Si
4. I have to say, pending actually hearing one, I'd be very interested in one of the LG 1000's as a backup to my ABM EVOII 500. If it sounds anything like the MB F1, it'll be monstrous!! Dood how you getting on with yours? Si
5. Very good, loved it! Obviously it helps if you're aware of the original The Malmsteen one is (was?) classic youtube! Si

8. It does seem a shame to cover that sexy grain!! How about a partial p-bass plate to cover the rout, jazz bass styley, but maybe a bit more slimline, so just covering the rout.......and made of wood Then put some pickup surrounds around the pickups to cover the gaps, Yamaha BB styley. Si

Weddings

We're a slightly rockier modern covers band and we get plenty of weddings. People who are getting married now are (mostly) the younger generation, IMO they don't want WetWetWet and Robson & Jerome. We're doing a wedding in August where we've been asked if we can do some Rage Against The Machine........oh yesss Si
17. Also try CD-Baby to get stuff onto iTunes Si
18. Dammit!!! Can't believe I missed this, and in the meantime I've booked tickets to see Kate Rusby! Bumhole! Oh well, at least i'm seeing good music no matter what Si
19. Man, If my covers band travelled that far for a gig, not only would be be charging double what we normally do for local (london) shows, we'd be asking for a deposit of at least half! Certainly if we had to stay over we'd charge more then double. We've done Weddings in Manchester though and missioned it back to Bucks. Sometimes it is worth dealing in E-Mails so that you have that as written proof as well!. Hope the gig was a good one at least, that's your consolation Si
20. That is one sexy P-Bass!! So much nicer then its previous incarnation! Nice one! Si
21. Tis working dandy for me! Si
22. Beautiful bass at an amazing price! I'm so glad Roscoe sorted out their early pointy headstock lol Si
23. Give Malcolm up at Newtone a call, You can have whatever custom gauges, core sizes, lengths etc you could wish for, all for the price of a set of Rotos. The only downside is an approx 3 week wait............well they are being wound just for you! Newtone Strings If you do give 'em a call, say Simon Poulton recommended them Nice Si
24. I have a big 'ol silver flight case box (not a rack) that I carry my Head about in, whenever I do a gig with a one cab setup, either the 4x8 or the 1x15, I always put the cab on top of the Box, Having your sound at waist height is what its all about. Si
25. Is that ex-Mydriasis James Cooke on vocals? He wanted to try out for us....then backed out lol Good luck dude, sound like an interesting band! Si
