Hi all, Bit of help from you clever ones please. Using the below photo, could you help my tiny mind determine what the pin-out is of the white ‘junction box’ on this DOD 250? Green is power (I’m not that silly....possibly). Black probably ground. But am not sure which is In/Out with regards to the white/grey wires. Never been great at ‘reading’ 3PDT switches! Going to rewire the whole thing. Thanks 😊 Si

We certainly do try, where possible, to keep our older units as up-to-date as possible. Sometimes that's not possible past the standard 2 years of our product discontinuation policy (such as Saffire's, largely because Firewire is widely not supported anymore), but with our Scarlett generations (being USB), this is slightly easier. This really doesn't sound like normal behaviour for a 4i4, certainly it's not something I've heard of before. If it is still under the 3 year warranty, I would contact the retailer you purchased from and have that swapped out. For context, the nature of the various LED colours is simply because they are RGB LED's. By default they adhere to the Green/Amber/Red setup for signal (with red obviously be clipping), but it is possible to change these from within Focusrite Control, either for aesthetic purposes, or (as we designed it) for accessibility purposes (colour blindness etc). Glad that you're getting on well with the Clarett, while the Scarlett's are excellent, the Clarett's are somewhat of a step-up when it comes to the audio-spec and some features. I doubt there’ll be a lot of space, maybe a little Aguilar Pre perhaps, but would be tight. I think it will sound fine, it’s more about the B I think. I work and hang out in High Wycombe, so could be doable at some point. Definitely let me know your thoughts when it arrives though! Cheers Si

Serek's Sacramento fits the bill: https://www.serekbasses.com/basses/sacramento/ Although again, there seems to be a fine-line between hand-built and 'custom shop' in my mind. In that if something is hand-built, they're probably going to be able to accommodate a certain custom spec for you. In this case, simply asking Jake Serek for a Sacramento with a single pickup. Has anyone had any experience of these yet. I'm potentially interested in a Serek short scale 5 string at some point, and although they're obviously going to be far-and-away a better bass than the Ibby (nothing against it), I thought it might make a decent and cheap experiment to see if I'm into the shorty 5er idea. Plus it's a passive P/J, which is basically perfect haha. Any thoughts? Si

Not surprised, cool bass, limited editions. If Jake puts out a 5 string version of it as a run, I’m in trouble. Probably unlikely at that price though. Very much looking forward to seeing each of the iterations though! Si

Thanks, yeah I've been playing with Jocee for about 6 years now I think. We played a sold-out headline set at Hideaway in London and the venue decided they wanted to film it......fine by us haha. Yeah I was particularly happy with the bass tone, although to be fair, that bass was just killer in general, I really regret selling it (the person won't sell it back to me either....don't blame them). SOLD Got this as part of a part-ex a while ago, and it’s just lived in the case since then. It came to me with a broken preamp (just a broken off pot and capacitor, so pretty easy fix for someone). As a result, I converted it to fully passive, VVT and retaining the original jack plug on the side, the neck pot is now a push/pull to go between series/parallel, which is actually very useful on a Jazz. Obviously I’ll include the original preamp for you to have a fix of. Or leave it as it sounds fantastic as a passive bass. As new condition and I obviously have the original black scratch plate to go with it too. Collection only from Hemel or High Wycombe. No case. Fret wrap or LEGO magazines not included. No trades other than maybe an old Japanese built Precisiony type thing, Ibanez Blazer, Yamaha Precise etc etc. Cheers Si -
