  1. They’re $2249 new (although I think like $100 extra for a metallic/sparkle finish). The second hand cost is similar to the new cost just because they’re so sought-after. I think the current build time is around 10 months. Mine is currently in the post to me 😁 Si
  2. Worth noting that the stock MK1 p’ups are also split-coils, but clearly voiced differently to the Aguilars. Si
  3. Yeah the old 55-02’s had it when they they had Barts, but moved to the Hanson/Lakland stuff after. The 55-01 was actually a bit of an accident, when Lakland were waiting for the first 55-02 test models, the overseas factory didn’t have any MM/J pups, so they stuck a couple of soapbars in so Lakland could at least see the bass build quality. The rest is history. Si
  4. Not sure, I just left it inside haha. Yeah I would say that the pickups made the biggest difference (they sounded way better than the MK1’s in passive mode), but figured I’d do the preamp too while I was at it. Si
  5. I found upgrading my old 55-01 pups and Pre from the MK1 stuff really bought it alive. I opted for Bartolini US dual coils (in the same shell size as the MK1’s), and an Bart NTMB preamp. I had Lakland tape wounds on it and it really sang, regret selling it! Si
  6. Vol, Balance, 3 band EQ....pretty easy ☺️ Si
  7. My Elrick Expat. Currently for sale in the FS section should anyone be interested. Si
  8. Reckon mine is in the mix too lol Si
  9. Jake has been busy. That's a beauty! Si
  10. Eugh, first signs that getting my Moollon P delivered from South Korea is going to be a ball-ache! 🙄

Sorry to hear that @Sibob , hopefully they have come across this before with the courier and can sort it out. Best of luck!

Looks like it’s all sorted and sending back out to me on Monday. Moollon contact is great, replying to put my mind at rest on a Saturday!

  11. Sure, but where's the fun in that? Si
  12. Wilcocks are great, I’ve played a couple of ‘Mullarkey’ models. I went with a Serek because I had met and spoken with Jake quite a bit, and I like purchasing from people who I feel an affiliation with, plus I preferred the 2x2 headstock. For me, the Wilcock stuff, aesthetically speaking, covered the same ground as my Mustang, although of course much higher in quality. Si

    SOLD

Added options for sale and another p/x (Lakland DJ5) Cheers Si
  14. Ok thanks. Like I said, I’ve not heard of anything like that, but I’ll see what I can find out on Monday for you. Si // Focusrite (ADAM Audio)
  15. It’s not something I’ve heard of, where did you get that information? Si // Focusrite (ADAM Audio)
  16. I’m glad to hear it, if you run into any other issues, feel free to drop me a PM, or just contact Tech Support directly ☺️ Enjoy Si
  17. You won’t get it cheaper unless a used one comes up over here (raarreee) Si
  18. My hands are not very sweaty at all, and I largely play Precision type instruments (or not boutique basses basically), so no....never clean the basses or the strings lol. Si
  19. ASAP. I’ll be back out as soon as I’m allowed to be Si
  20. Jake is also currently running 15% off his Website shop too, and there are a few very cool prebuilt basses there: https://www.serekbasses.com/store/ Si
  21. With regards to the gain halo’s, I would always keep yourself in the green....that way you don’t lose a take just because you hit a little harder and peak in the yellow. If you’re always in the yellow, and you accidentally hit a little harder, you’ll clip into the red. You’ll always want the channel set to ‘Inst’ rather than ‘Line’. With regards to output, are you only experiencing the distortion on bass videos? Not on all audio? What are you using to monitor from the Solo? Headphones? Monitor speakers? Are they working correctly? Si // Focusrite
  22. There may be some misunderstanding about settings here if I have read the post correctly. Usually you would record with your bass volume up full, then temper the ‘Gain’ control at the Solo’s input in order to have the halo LED only ever showing green. The hotter the output of the bass, the less gain needed on the interface for it to sit happily in the green. With regards to output issues, it’s odd that it’s distorting, if you play any audio/music from iTunes/YouTube etc, is that also distorted? You may want to run through some Windows optimization such as in this article: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207355205-Optimising-your-PC-for-Audio-on-Windows-10 If you’re continuing to experience problems, you’re best to contact our tech support teams via here: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new Usually it’s a small setup issue and they’ll have you up and working straight away, however there are some rare occasions where a hardware fault is present, which will simply mean you’ll be sent a new unit. Cheers Si // Focusrite
  23. Would be perfect if it didn’t have blocks Si
