  1. I feel for a £200 bass, it’s not really worth the effort unfortunately. Plus it doesn’t sound like it’s the truss rod, the neck is the shape/condition it is....the truss rod is working fine, just can’t effect the wood any further. Si
  2. I don’t see that i’ll get anything out of the seller, it was being sold as seen, I saw that it needed a hefty setup in person, and still purchased it. He’s hardly going to hand me back the cash and be stuck with it. Caveat emptor innit. Si
  3. It appears I might have bought a lemon with this 415 High action, hella buzzing on the top end and no play at all in the truss rod....and that’s from a guitar tech. £200 in the hole....any ideas? Will someone likely buy a fully loaded body? Would be nice to get a little back on it! Si
  4. "Do you want to jam"? No, no I don't. Do I want to write and/or record some music with you? Sure, possibly. But to pointlessly 'jam' for hours? 🤮 Si
  5. Open it up to looking for a ‘front person’ and you’ll double your chances Si
  6. Dunno if these have been mentioned yet as solid P contenders: Lakland Moollon If not, they should be in your list Si
  7. I’ve had a BB615 before, which was a cool bass, but I wasn’t keen on the preamp. And the gear purchasing ship sailed back in June lol. I did 6months, so not bad Si
  8. No, from South London. Did see that one though, was collection only (3 hours from me), and it got a little strange over email....then the South London one came up Si
  9. Oh hi there! BB415 in the house. Needs a solid setup, but it was £200 so that’s ok. Putting La Bella flats on it. I’d be interested in any advice on replacement (preferably direct) bridges and lightweight tuners, any thoughts? Si
  10. It’s simply an exercise in facility, so why not. Fantastic player, has done some of the Scary Pockets vids and is always super musical. Si
  11. Out of curiosity....why did you buy a 5 string? Si
  12. Don't suppose anyone owns a BB 415 in Orange Metallic? Si
  13. Check out their philanthropic efforts too, they do a lot of good stuff! Si
  14. Well I think it’s telling that it’s all just been issued to the streaming sites now too. Gearing up for the last push I reckon. If they go on tour, see them now people. Been 10 years since I saw them, by all accounts they were excellent at Download! Si
  15. I think most will agree this is probably their last, Maynard is 55 and probably isn’t going to feel like running Tool out again in his 60’s. So I’m appreciating this for everything it is. Hope they do vinyl though! Si
  16. I just always go direct, if you have a decent preamp/interface, in my humble opinion everything else can be done in the box. The only time I'd perhaps caveat that is if you're relying on overdrive from your amp specifically. Si
  17. Too rich for me, but certainly reasonable. It’s beautiful! GLWTS Si
  18. Haven’t read the whole thread, but here is my advice. - Powered speakers, passive desk - 12” tops seem to work best IMO - 800w per top minimum (headroom is key) - If you want to mic bass drum, get at least one sub Si
  19. Your amp should have a DI out, just plug that into the Mic input of your interface. However if it’s an old Tiny Terror, their DI’s were known to be unusably hot (loud), if it’s one of the newer versions from the relaunch, should be fine. If it’s an older model, sack it off in the studio and record direct, just invest a few quid in a decent amp sim, not a freebie. No-one wants to admit they can’t tell the difference Si
  20. Funny isn’t it, 10,000 Days is the album I listen to most, from start to finish. I pick at most of the other albums. Think it’s incredible! Also, for those who haven’t seen, the Fear Inoculum track (single?) is streaming online now Si
  21. Glad you're sorted If I can be of any help with anything, let me know! Si // Focusrite
  22. I’d probably be playing Cajon on all of them, or hiring a Cajon player (does it need to be a trio?). Generally speaking I don’t enjoy playing bass without percussion, and I think if the guitarist is good enough (playing and tone-shaping), it is enough to carry a gig on its own if needed. Si
  23. Fair enough, but your post reads like it’s fully compatible with Cubase because it’s made by Steinberg, so I was just clarifying Sure, however you obviously need the physical inputs/outputs available in order to made those assignments in your DAW Si // Focusrite
