    So basically I want to learn the basics of setting up a bass…primarily truss rod adjustment. I can restring, adjust action and intonation reasonably well, but truss rods scare me. i learn best when being shown, so was wondering if there’s someone near High Wycombe who is very knowledgeable on the subject who might be able to give me pointers? This is purely so I can tweak my own gear, no interest in it as a commercial concern. Cheers Si

    Some new and pressing priorities have come about, and so last in, first out for this unfortunately. Wonderful sounding amp, I’ve gigged it twice and it was a joy both times. Transparent when set flat, and with a really musical EQ (designed by Mike Pope, so you know it’s proper!). Very lightweight but solid feeling. This is as-new, mint condition! SOLD I might entertain a part ex, try me, pedals mostly I guess, or happy with a Little Mark 2 if you're looking to upgrade. But basically I'd want at least £300 coming to me. Collection or I can ship in the UK for £10. Happy to post further afield at your expense. Cheers Si

    I'm really loving the look of that Black Dimension, the spec really speaks to me for heavier music, not to mention I've always wanted a Spector! (literally, it was the 'boutique' bass hanging up, out of reach, at the music shop when I was a kid). Interesting. Si

    I follow them on on Instagram, seem like pretty fun designs. Get the impression they are one-offs, made by someone who, very much knows what they’re doing, but kinda does it as a hobby rather than an ongoing commercial concern. They certainly look solid in any case! Si

    Essentially, Modern Vintage (the brand) put out some excellent basses. The MVP62 was amazing and I was gutted to sell it on (had to buy a house didn't I), but would love one of their 70's spec P's at some point in the future. Probably the Mocha one haha. Si

    There’s been a further update to the latest FAQ, basically the exact date and time for batch releases will be announced at least 24 hours before on social media. No new designs (including T-47 Mini) before 2024. Si

    Focusrite Control allows you to send anything you like out of those Scarlett outputs, either routing/monitoring from your DAW or from the Scarlett inputs (direct monitoring). With regards to your Trakmaster, yeah one of the +4dBu outputs will do the job, making sure that the corresponding input on the Scarlett is set to Line level (or rather NOT set to Instrument level).     For those interested, this didn’t seem to work, got signal out of both outputs, the amp/cab sim on the ‘Send’ output sounded great, but the main output sounded quiet and thin weirdly?! What did seem to work, and I don’t quite understand why really haha, is putting a Send L block in front of amp/cab sim….. This, for some reason, pushes a signal not effected by amp/cab out of the ‘Send’ output and a signal effected by amp/cab sim out of the main output. Both outputs effected by the effects blocks as you’d want. Si
