Wait until you hear it!! :)

  2. Almost certainly off the back of her playing with him in Hans Zimmers band. Should be great!! Si
  3. You're probably blowing that up out of all proportion Si
  4. Had my Lakland 55-01 new from you and couldn’t be happier with the deal! Cheers guys Si
  5. I have to this year as I have a gig after, and i’m not leaving it in the car! Si
  6. Heard Owen Biddle playing the 3 p’up version in LA recently, sounded fantastic....but then he’s a monster player lol. Si
  7. Yeah, sounds broken! Which is pretty rare in itself lol Si
  8. Basically, how big is your ego? Si
  9. Behringer are probably in the mix too lol Si
  10. This isn't totally horrendous, but why it isn't short or medium scale I don't know, absolutely lends itself to that! Even so, I'd prefer a Serek (totally different price-point I know). Si
  11. How is it possible to have the same tension for normal tuning or drop?? Si
  12. Worth noting that Bobby Vega is actually appearing in the SBL workshop too: http://www.londonbassguitarshow.com/features/bass-workshop-with-scotts-bass-lessons Looks like just on the Saturday for SBL Henrik Linder exclusively on the Sunday though (again in the SBL Workshop). Si
  13. Any comments on price I find difficult to swallow with flats a little.......put them on....leave them on forever, that's why I like them vs roundwounds. Flats just get better lol Si
  14. Flat/tapewound strings are your first port of call. But you’ve said that a ‘Sting’ bass gave you what you want.....so get one of them?! Si
  15. Just to clarify, the artist schedule absolutely is on the website.....just that Bobby Vega hasn’t been added just yet, for whatever reason. Si
  16. Same as my 55-01, although I have the rosewood fingerboard. Really good basses for the money, they punch way above their price! Si
  17. Still likely more expensive than buying from the UK dealer because of the weak pound + added VAT & customs handling. Si
  18. Not sure what people define as 'great bass tone', but what is important is having a tone that glues the rest of the band together, that fills the necessary sonic space and stays out of the way of other instruments.....that tone could be literally anything (depending on the musical context) and still be 'great'. So yes a 'complimentary' tone is incredibly important. Si
  19. Lakland would do that on a custom build if you sourced the pickups I believe. You'd essentially then have a US built 44-01 (ie two soap bars) Si
  20. It's the US 55-Dual J: https://www.lakland.com/55-JJ.htm But in a Metallic Blue as opposed to just the sunburst they mention on the site. They do have a habit of doing little runs of other colours sometimes. Cheers Si
  21. Ah sorry, missed that important detail lol. Yeah, 4 preamps for under £100 does just leave you with Behringer, unless you find something better used of course. Si
  22. Do you want to record those three instruments simultaneously, or one at a time? Si
  23. But still, £140 from Bass Direct huh Si
  24. All flats are technically 'tapewound', but with metal tape rather than nylon. As such, flats tend to refer to metal tapes and nylon (be it black, white etc) to nylon tapes. Si
