1. Happy days fellas
2. Whoops been a naughty boy, trade options for basses no longer apply
3. Trade for MIA Precision or Jazz with cash from me
4. Too kind Mike...if you get tired of those Aggies....cough
5. Had quite a few people saying they're interested and asking if it's still available and yes it is because nobody has said the magic words yet "I'll have it".
6. Hi Dogz, sorry it's not what I'm looking for but thanks very much anyway
7. I am prepared to post but it'll be expensive
8. Hi there, I don't know how old it is to be honest. It looks brand new with no marks, no dings and no fret wear that I can see (just checked).
9. Reduced to £210. Colour much nicer in the ..erm...flesh.
10. Might deliver within a reasonable distance
11. Immaculate condition, comes with a new Roqsolid padded cover that cost me £50. I can't lift heavy/bulky cabs any more due to a dodgy hip so would like to trade for 2 smaller cabs (Two 1x12's or 2x10s etc) or maybe 1 decent cab that I can buy another to match - must be vgc. Trade value £475 Prefer not to post but PM me and we can sort something out. Appreciate money is tight at the mo so will sell for £400 + postage (£100 less that it cost me) Edit for typo
12. Only had this a couple of weeks and it really is a nice bass but I prefer a chunkier neck so here goes. No marks or dings, comes in a gig bag which isn't great but it does the job. These basses really are fantastic value for money and you can have this one for £225. Prefer to meet, will post under protest at your expense and risk.
13. Somebody ease my pain and buy this
14. Ahh...fantastic example of a Jazz this - someone's gonna be very happy with this
15. Think this used to be mine Mart - I've regretted selling this more than any other bass I've owned> Have a pic/bump on me.
16. I’ve just come back on briefly to apologise to Bilbo for my outburst yesterday, regardless of what was said it was uncalled for and I’m genuinely sorry. Somebody mentioned in the post that it was out of character and it was, as anyone who knows me will testify. For the record, I understand that the Beatles aren’t everybody’s cup of tea and that’s fine, each to his own and all that. I’m all for reasonable debate and the occasional bit of banter and don’t think for a moment that my opinion is any more valid than anybody else’s. I happen to like the Beatles, but that said, they’re way down on my playlist. Unfortunately, the red mist descended yesterday because it felt to me - having posted something I thought was reasonable, based on experience and contributed to the thread, that it’s got to the stage now where you can’t post anything on here these days without someone micro-analysing it and then ripping it to pieces just to have a little snipe and wind you up. No doubt I’ll get flamed for this as well but I’m going to say it anyway - I’ve been a contributor to this forum and its previous manifestations for a long time now and I’ve made a lot of good friends in the process for which I’m grateful but there’s a small group of idiots (not you Bilbo) who drag this place down to the point where it’s just not worth taking part anymore and for that reason it’s probably time to Beatle off. Apologies again Bilbo, no hard feelings from me fella.
17.
Have stopped reading the thread but the coachloads visiting Paul's house evidences the fact that they are overrated. No-one is worthy of that nonsense.
That confirms to me what a complete f***wit you are
18. Great heads these - had one myself, never should have sold it.
19. Dave, was there a noticeable improvement when you stuck the Wizard pup in? Worth doing?
20.
I think by far the more serious problem at the moment is the sheer amount of arguing and personal insults that people are throwing at each other recently. Come on guys, none of us are that bad really, are we?
Well said jackers. Somebody is selling a bass on here for exactly double what he paid me for it - that's just taking the piss innit.
21.
However, it is perfectly reasonable to question if the MUSIC lives up to this hype? To use my example above, is Yesterday the greatest song to emerge from the rock and roll era, or is it merely a bog standard Tin Pan Alley type tune! Does the use of both major and minor tonality in A Day In The Life evidence of genius at work, or is it a reasonable imaginative 60s pop song? We're they really better songwriters than the Beach Boys? All these questions are valid and should not answered by cries of 'but they were the Beatles, the biggest pop group of all time'!
It is perfectectly reasonable to ask the question Pete but I think it has to be in the context of what was going on and around at the time and also before they came on the scene. What chrisb says is bang on, you can't really appreciate the impact of their music unless you've lived in a world without them. Anyway, I'll shut up now.
22.
I think you may have the wrong website.
Sorry ET - I thought we were being silly
23.
Yep, that people have very little to do these days. Really? Take reverential photos of a house? Gracelands i can understand as it is a completely mental house, but not some nondescript terrace in Liverpool with a blue plaque on the wall. Crazy....
Soapy tit w***.
