1. I used to have one of these - fantastic cabs
2. I used to be in a soul band who played some holes. I never encountered this kind of abuse but we did used to get the odd nobcheese taking to the empty dancefloor early in the set dancing like a twat in front of his mates - you know the sort. The drummer would send us a signal and we'd all suddenly stop playing and look at said idiot. It worked wonders.
3. oh ...discreet your bass is gawjus, love it
4. Sold!! Black it is Thanks everyone.
5. Like this?
6. Well pervy indeed - it looks great on a vintage bass but will it look as good on one like mine? I dunno...
Snort! Whadoo I think? I think you should have The Bass Doc make you a black/white/black three-ply guard. Pure class. If you really don't like that idea the other alternative is mint/black/mint... Well pervy!!
7. I have this bass with a white pearl scratchplate and I love it to bits (like all the basses I've owned). Problem is I have severe P Bass lust and I'm trying to distract myself by fiddling with my instrument. Jorge at Clover has quoted £47 to have a custom made tort plate but I can't make my mind up if I like it better than the white one. Waddya think? 8. I've seen this bass in the flesh and it's an absolute stunner. Paul is a gentleman too so buy this with confidence.
9. It's obviously giving you a stiffy so you're not past it yet. Treat yourself
10. That looks remarkably like my old bass ...
11. Absolutely mint condition with brand new padded Roqsolid cover that cost me £50. It's a fantastic, loud cab that sounds great in the mix with plenty of low end but I'm having trouble lifting it due to a degenerative hip condition. I'll take £425 cash or will trade for something smaller and lighter - eg 2 1x12s or 2 2x10s etc - must be in excellent condition. Trade value is £500 plus cash from me if necessary. I don't want the hassle of posting so would prefer to meet or will deliver within a reasonable distance of Preston.
12. Must have seen them 25 or 30 times, love 'em to bits.
13. Best cabs I've owned were Epifani UL410 Series 1 and Genz Benz Neox 212
14. I'll bring it down to yours tomorrow night (Weds) so you can have a play with it before the gig. Ring you tomorrow first.
15. Thanks everyone - useful stuff
16. Oy Mike, dya wanna use my LMIII at the gig to see if you like it?
17. After turning my nose up at slap for as long as I can remember, I've finally succumbed to the disease. Only trouble is, after 2 weeks, I'm still crap and making slow progress. Yes, I know it's gonna take a lot longer than that and it's all about practice and watching Youtube vids but how long will it be before I become sufficiently proficient to slap a bit at a gig? I'm not talking Mark King here just a few fills here and there - is it weeks, months, years? How was it for you? Any tips or encouragement welcomed.
18. There are places advertising them on t'interweb, but does anyone know who actually keeps 'em in stock?
19. There goes the day :/
