2. You too Nick ...and stop dangling your Pino in front of me
3. Thanks Si, must take some better pics
4. Very nice Nick...and not a trace of dogshit anywhere
5. I had the pleasure of a quick plonk on this last week and heard it in a live band situation, it was absolutely gawjus. I actually checked my bank account when I got home to see if I could order one similar. Just need the missus to leave the country for a few days.

7.
Bored with tort? BORED WITH TORT?? Good job you didn't say that on Thursday night
Hey Steve, good to meet you and....what a great gig. That's the kind of band I'd love to be in. Lovely basses and great playing too fella.
8. Ricicles, bicycles, test.................................................ing 123
9. Thanks, I'm a bit bored with tort.
10. My 2012 Am Std P complete with Bass Doc parchment scratchplate. Apologies for the poor pic quality, the light's non existent. 11. Nice one Pete, I bet your back's happy too. Weren't you in Fleetwood last night? Does it smell of fish?...or maybe a Fisherman's friend
12. I've owned a Euro 5, a Euro LX 5 and a Rebop 5. All superb basses and every one a joy to play. I hated the preamp in my LX5 so I replaced it with an ACG02 which was an improvement sonically but I couldn't adapt to using it on the hoof so I sold the bass. I have a real soft spot for Spectors, they're superb instruments if you like the tone and I'd definitely have another one.
13. I usually have two basses on the go (as now) - one I need and another for pure indulgence. Every now and then I'll sell both and buy something exotic like a US Lakland or similar thinking one 'good' bass will do. After about three months, I think to myself 'this is too good, don't need something this good' so I sell it and buy two 'lesser basses'. Then after about three months....
14. Nice rig Dave, very nice bass and interesting wallpaper
15. Bloody hell, that sounds familiar . He wanted us to back him on 'a UK tour', but I said no on the grounds that I pay more tax in my day job than I would have earned standing behind him every night. He's a nice bloke Dave...when he's upright.
16. I learn most songs playing along on Youtube or Guitar Pro. When I can play a song six times on the trot without making a mistake I know it's there for good. Once I learn a song this way I rarely make mistakes. I also ad-lib to maintain interest.
17.
I had the pleasure of listening to and having a quick blast with my Thumb Bass on Homers' NX2 last week at one of his band rehearsals. I played that particular room last November and really struggled to get a decent sound in there, it was boom city. Listening to the band I thought NX2 sounded great, it was really punchy and every note popped out even on the E string. Nice warm low mids that hit you in the chest and clear all the way to the top. Of axis was very good to and the drummer also commented on how well he could hear the cab. Although ever so slightly boomy and was ever so slightly because of the room the cab still cut through very well. It's super light weight which is a bonus and although it maxxed out my budget I ordered one from Mark last week, I just hope it gets here for the weekend !!
Yo Pete, I'm gigging on Friday night but you're more than welcome to use mine on Saturday if yours doesn't arrive in time
18. Thanks TRBboy, it sounds as good as it looks.
19. If money were no object, I'd buy Bergs every time. I currently have a GB NX2 and it's a great all rounder. It's not very expensive, it's extremely light, it's loud and punchy and a big improvement in every respect on the Markbass 104HF I had before it. I'd definitely recommend an NX2 if you're looking at the price of Bergs and finding it hard to justify spending that much (even though they're worth every penny IMHO).
20. Done a few gigs with Dave Finnegan (Mickah Wallace), he used to love the soul band I was in and used to do a few songs with us. Couldn't sing to save his life but he was great at testing microphones.
21. Had a few Sandbergs in my time, all absolutely brillaint, rock solid basses. This was my favourite... Had a couple of Clovers too, if you like Sandbergs, you'll love Clovers although do seem to be a bit more expensive and harder to find. Same pups, preamp, hardware, build quality. 22. Gawd I want that 'Ray
23. I don't know the first thing about jazz but I do know I absolutely love listening to it and really wish I could play it. A drummer friend of mine feels the same way and sometimes between songs we'll just start jamming something and whilst it sounds fantastic to our ears, I'mm sure the jazzers would fall about laughing if they heard it. I'd love to understand Jazz and learn to play it to a reasonable level but daunted by the mountain I'd have to to climb, I'll have to learn to be content with the occasional improvised fumbling with my tub thumping buddy. Respect to anyone who can play jazz.
