Pretty sure my new-to-me Genz Benz NeoX 2 is the best cab I've ever had. Ridiculously light, loud and punchy as a punchy thing.
Can someone clarify for me (name and shame) who these 'oldies' are? I'm old, I've also been on this forum since the start and I'm fairly active on BC, yet I've not come across these belligerent 'oldies' that several posters have alluded to... so who are they?
I guess I'm an oldie John and like you have been around from the start. I'm certainly not young enough to know everything so I guess I is fik 2 innit.
Bugger We'd have gone if we'd known - just saw it advertised as "Chessmasters".
I believe they're doing another gig somewhere before Germany, I'll ring 'em tomorrow and find out where it is and PM you. -
The Stumble are fantastic! Bought their CDs at the Clitheroe gig - from (M)Anita - her words, not mine! Thought I recognised you from the pic.
Yeh, I love the Stumble. Some of them (guitarist / drummer & Cameron or wayne58 as he's known on here) did a gig last night in Chatburn near Clitheroe with Top Topham - one of the original members of The Yardbirds. It was a bit of a warm up for a forthcoming tour of Germany. Cameron gets some bloody gigs I tell ya. -
Was that the Morecambe gig? There was a group of guys there, one of who had been to the original 67 tour.
It was indeed sir. Wayne58 off here was playing bass with the support band (The Stumble). Had a great night. -
You may be interested to know that Cropper's among the artists doing a mass gig at The Whitehouse on the 16th; which if it works over here is being broacast live from a link within this link http://music.broadwa...SE-416-20130402 I've no idea how "featured" he'll be in it though.
Thanks for the heads up. -
"Dedicated" - Cropper's tribute to the Five Royale's; the band who inspired him to play.
Had the real pleasure of meeting and talking to The Colonel a few weeks ago. He was a gentleman and even though he was just about to go on stage, had all the time in the world for me. Jon Shuker would be my recommendation

Thanks fellas, I've sorted it. I bought a friend's Yamaha MG102c and M Audio BX8a's. I'm really please with it and it's doing the job I wanted doing but I am a little nervous of the speakers which seem to have a bad rep for reliability. I suppose it's like everything else, you only ever read about the 10 faulty ones and not the 10,000 trouble free ones. I have a Tascam BT which is great but I get sick of using headphones so I've plugged it into the desk and can now play along to cd's without the 'phones as well as stuff stored on my computer and other stuff on t'interweb. Chuffed. -

I've owned 6 or 7 Precisions but not of them were what I'd call vintage although I have played a few and in each case wondered what all the fuss was about. My current P is a 2012 model with the CS pups and it's the best I've ever had but if I was in the market for something a bit exotic, I'd probably buy a Pino after having a little noodle on Old Horse Murphy's - that was probably the nicest bass I've evr laid my hands on.
