Bassassin what you suggested was the location on the tittle and that was what people didn't agree on, at least the majority, now putting a price within the ad, that's just common sense.

Or if your folks can fork the cash you can then apply for a Virgin Credit card with 16 months interest free on balance transfers, do the transfer to your card and pay it within 16 months. Beaware that you should then cut the card and never use it ever ever as interest rates are high and you can only pay the balance of purchases when you have paid off the transfer. my 2 cents

As I write this I realise that it may not be the right place Mods please remove if that's the case. A friend of mine here at work started playing the bass last year and his missus bought him a bass and he uses the church gear to practice on sundays. he asked about a practice amp, and I suggested the following. Fender Rumble 15 he likes this one co's it has an external input for a cd player etc... Warwick Blue Cab 15, I have the 30 version and swear by it, I wish I had the external input though Roland cube the tiny one. Now he doesn't have a lot of cash and I have no more ideas, do you guys know of any other practice amps that are good and don't break the bank? Cheers David

I'm eyeing pedal but not sure what to get. Ashdown envelope filter for sale in the sale section that may just do it. Where do you run your effects? Signal chain or effects loop? Will the mute switch on my tuner pedal still work if going through the effects loop?

So what's the best way to emulate the sound? With an envelope filter?

We play that song and have done so for ages but now I wanted to get that effect what is it? Cheers David

I went into the shop some months ago and they were great. I asked online if my F1 would fit into the outside pocket of a protection racket gig bag and they repplied with this. " i'm prety sure you'd fit an F1 in there but i couldnt say for definate as i cant unbox a new one as it can annoy the customer that buys the amp" then I realised that I was dealing with some warehouse and didn't bothered. I'll go and check with them next time I'm in Brighton

I don’t think that was a weak excuse, if it wasn’t true it was quite a good thing to say. I’ve heard lots of stupid excuses such as the guy is good looking or you don’t drink beer and we like to get wasted while practicing. Saying that they were looking for someone with more experience is quite a valid answer. If we were replacing any of our members in our band we would want someone with lots of experience to match the rest of us just to make sure we keep the same standard as before. You win some you lose some. Look up and book another audition and good luck you will get a gig soon.
