Why have those fantastic gigs on a Sunday night?
-
I always loved the look of Warwicks, and thought that I'd really want one someday. However, when I finally got my hands on a few to try they TOTALLY weren't my thing. A bit dissapointing, but I got over it. So I'd go for the stingray myself.
Same experience with me just I end up with Spector

My T-Bass has a Zero Fret, can't tell I notice that much a difference comparing to my spector

For sale Spector tone pump without the trim pot as this was what came with my bass in 2006. I got a new preamp fitted by Bass Gallery and now have this one for sale, I can take pictures if needed. 4knobs 2Volumes 1Bass – boost only 1Treble – boost only I don’t really know how much is this worth so [s]I’ll start with £65 but happy to take offers[/s] Price drop to £50 Thanks David

How the hell do some people treat their basses?!
davidmpires replied to xilddx's topic in General Discussion
I don't really know why but it makes me angry. I don't like people who have no respect for things, I make assumptions they treat people and animals like that too. Is it me being very judgemental as usual? or do I have a point?
You are being judgemental. I love animals, and my basses have dings. Granted the T-bass has a lot more than the Spector co's I bought it used with dings on it already, it seem not well cared for but i bought my Spector new and I have made some dings and finger marks on it. (being a natural oil bass it happens). It's not that I don't care about my basses is just they are tools to an aim, if there's a ding I won't cry about it, but if anyone beats up my bass they will get beaten Even custom mades I would take them to a gig, in the end you have worked hard to play a great bass why not enjoy it. Although I consider Ritters works of art and I'm not sure I'd take them out to a pub. -
yeah the neon ones are pretty horrible, you need to check out the one that saiys (pick a colour) they have black, vintage tweed, red blue, etc.... that link is cool if I was made of money, £104 for a steve vai cable? some people need a slap.
Did you google? I just wondered 'cos I found lots in the UK This ebay person has lots of Dimarzio things http://shop.ebay.co.uk/jadenrose/m.html?_n...p;_trksid=p4340
I did google and only found the dealer from their website and called him asking for pricing. However I wasn't confident about giving him my details over the phone. But I couldn't find them anywhere else, thanks for that ebay link he's on my favourite sellers already.
-
I have had one for more than 5 years and it works great. Now i want to buy another but I can't find them here in the UK, anyone can point me on the right direction? Thanks David
-
I would pay a lot more money for a Ritter over a warwick, but that's mainly because I see the Ritters as a work of Art and would never take them to a gig at my local. And I probbaly would wash my hands with alcohol before I touched it just afraid of damaging it.
-
I'm pretty sure that behind your sofa is not miles away so why not collect it. And in the same way that you want the sellers to put the location on the title why not dropping them a pm if you are really interested and want it delivered. Although most people would prefer not to have the hassle allowances can be made.

I really like Foderas, I believe them to be in the same league as a Ritter and oh boy I lust for one. I just don't get the 3 year wait for a Fodera, I would hate to wait so much, but then again my wallet wouldn't hurt so much

[s]Hi this is just a feeler, i'm thinking of going for a two cab set and I have had my eye, in the Acme B2, I used to own one and I'm considering going back to them. I bought my barefaced of Alex last September I think. It is in mint condition dispite that i gig quite heavily in the later part of 2009. You know the score with the Compact lightweight, great sound. I'm open to neo trades. David[/s] Removed, I decided to keep it afterall

My Spector almost doubled up since I got it 3 years ago. Blame the economy. but that also means that I get more money if I decided to sell it, which I won't
-
Spector for me is top notch, I just received a preamp free of charge nor delivery charge for my Euro because mine does not have a trim pot and I needed one. Thank you thank you thank you. Now in no particular order Strings Direct - always great Absolute Music - Fantastic service Bass Gallery - great service too Jb's Music Tunbridge Wells - very quick
-
Strings direct are equaly good, I got my Mark Bass out of Absolute, very good customer service
-
I would take that gig any day, and I doubt very much that I'd be miming. That's just BS and gossip that goes around in situations like that. Even Dizzie Rascall had a live bass player on Later As above you need a CV and to pay your rent even if that means playing stuff you don't necessarily love.

I saw Pink do a great cover of Bohemian Rhapsody @ the O2 and Crazy by Gnarles Barkley too. Great great covers
-
I like that idea. Two straplocks it is... where are those ladies you speak off...
