2.
That you Watson?
Wasted on me...no idea what you're on about.
 3.
I think that looks awesome! It's got a bit of an Italia feel to it. Nice photoshopping too!
Not my photoshopping sadly . There's a chap over on Talkbass that is pretty good at that kind of thing, he did it for me.
 4. I've got an Epiphone EB-0 as well that's been defretted: I'm gathering the parts to refinish and mod it to make it look like this: What do you guys think?
 5.
why has no-one mentioned the xp100? Has all the whammy setting of the bass whammy, plus alot more, and can be got for often cheaper than a 2nd hand wh4
Ah yeah, great point. Completely forgot that. The demand for the Whammy I is going up now as well though. I've seen prices on those similar to that of the bass whammy at times.
 6.
To the top with ye!
After 7 hours?!
 7.
The Whammy IV is volatile as owt. Look at it funny, and it'll break. That treadle isn't strong.
I think you might have just had a bad experience. Mine was really sturdy and well-built.
 8.
Yeah, trust JC to use a setting found on a pedal that costs an absolute fortune If Digitech did a re-issue they could make a bomb lol.
My thoughts exactly. A well made reissue though, constructed like the Whammy IV. Let's face it, the bass whammy was poorly made; plastic casing, poor-quality footswitch etc. I was really impressed with the build quality of the Whammy IV, it was just the barrel size they used for the power supply that really wound me up. The PS-3 has also shot up in value because of the JC fanboys.
 9. + Dave Holland, everything about his playing is perfect in a band setting. - Paul McCartney (sorry excuse for a bass player, sorry)
 10.
I'm not looking for much just that Schism/Dispostion sound which I'm hoping to record soon.
You should be able to play Schism with the Whammy IV as it uses the octave up/octave down setting. But...you won't be able to play Disposition, as it uses the 5th up/octave up setting which isn't found on the Whammy IV. The 5th/octave up setting is the reason the bass whammy is so sought after (especially by all the Tool fans). Justin Chancellor used that setting loads: Pushit Ticks and Leeches Disposition The 5th up/6th up setting is the other one JC used a fair bit: Eulogy Right In Two
 11. Can't remember the exact setting it is that Justin Chancellor uses but it isn't on the Whammy IV. Nor is it on the Boss PS-5. But...IIRC you can get the right harmonisation from the Boss PS-3 and the Eventide Pitchfactor.
 12. I'm interested in just the tuners... Maybe we could work something out?
 13. Arrgh...why do all 212s seem to be 4 ohm haha. Good luck with the sale mate.
 14. Man, can't believe I missed this . Ah well, someone will be very happy with it, I'm sure .
 15. That looks really nice. Wish I had the cash. Good luck with the sale . FWIW, I think the price is reasonable given the work it's had.
 16. It's a shame the Aguilar is 4 ohm. Ah well, have a free bump on me .
 17.
nice, i'd really like to give it a whirl before i bought it though, i'm assuming it does clean octave up to?
No clean oct-up, as Theo said. It's a completely analogue pedal so the octave up is more defined by adding more distortion. You're welcome to come and try it out if you want, I'm in Wrenthorpe in Wakefield (J41 of the M1) so not too far away if you're passing this way. Send me a PM and let me know.
 18.
ey up what would you say the octron was like soundwise?
You can vary the octave sound quite a bit using the internal trimmers but it's quite a natural, organic octaver. Not your synthy OC-2 type octave down. It does a really good oct-up fuzz as well (level adjusted by another trimpot). It tracks cleanly down to my A string (G on the E string on my jazz w/ flats). It's a really versatile pedal and you can dial in a really nice sounding octave if you play around with the trimmers inside.
 19. Yes, definitely a need. I'll get one if I can sell one of my pedals in time to beat the rush.
 20. Thanks for the clips, it sounds really great.
 21.
5. If you believe the price of the item is too cheap/expensive, then please PM the seller as to why. Do not ridicule or undermine the seller by posting how much you think it's worth or how much it can be gotten for elsewhere, the laws of supply and demand will determine if the item sells at that price.

However I think your price is a bit steep
Just sayin' I think £150 is a great price. You would easily top that on ebay I should think. It's because it's old that it has added value. The wonders of vintage pedals .
