1.
is that comp actually usable with bass? The cs-3 of course isn't, but iv never used a cs-1...
It's usable, yes, but it isn't your average compressor. It's more of an attack equalizer, gives you a really cool swell. Kind of like a subtle Slow Gear. If you're looking for a transparent compressor, it's not for you. It is a cool effect though.
 2.
Is the superfuzz based on an older fuzz? Or is it its own sound?
It's based on the Jordan Bosstone. From the manufacturer: The rare Jordan Electronics Bosstone (circa 1968) is considered by many to be the ultimate vintage fuzz. The Voodoo Lab Superfuzz® starts with this classic fuzz design and adds unique tone and resonance circuits to create an amazing new array of fuzz tones. The tone control delivers a wide spectrum of midrange and bass timbres, everything from an extreme gain scooped tone through a raucous, bluesy, prominent mid voicing. The resonance control is a sub-harmonic booster that lets you add an aggressive bottom end not typically found on fuzz pedals. Attack varies the gain from rich and creamy to outrageous.
 3.
Only in the fantasy world of marketing department schlockmeisters. In the real world the physics of how loudspeakers work render the claims of Frequency Response: 20 Hz to 17 kHz Sensitivity: 98 dB @ 1 W/1 m totally beyond the realm of possibility. If you could package up all of the bullcrap contained in the Hartke webpage description of the HX 115 you could fertilize a goodly sized farm with it.
So what are the likely stats of that cab? I tried one a few weeks ago and it sounded great, definitely at the top of my list to buy. I don't need frequency response that low so it doesn't matter, it's the sound I want. It's a great sounding cab but it seems ridiculous for them to lie, I'm not denying that you're right at all, in fact I'm not at all surprised that the claims are untrue given all the competition about. Do alot of manufacturers fiddle their claims then?
 4. FWIW, the Hartke Hydrive 1x15" has a great frequency response all the way down to 20 Hz. It would probably even handle a low F# (or lower) comfortably.
 5. How much for postage?
 6. Martin Sims would charge £235 I think. £325 if you want the white stripped beforehand.
 7. It really depends who you go to. What sort of finish do you want? Just a flat colour?
Ok, no worries. So how much do you think it would cost?
8. No offence meant but, yes you are kind of. It won't affect the bass at all. If you were to have it repainted with the neck still attached there's a fair chance it may affect the neck.
Im just concerned that it may effect the bass..... or am i just being stupid?
9. For dubstep, I'd go Octave, Fuzz, LPF, Chorus. As for the wobble, there's alot of good info in here
. Right, I've just formed a new live Drum N Bass/Dubstep trio. What are the recommended effects for this? I know fuzz, chorus and a phaser/flanger, maybe an octaver to hit those really low sub notes. What do I need to get that wobble kind of sound, I figure tremolo, but it'd be good to have one that has an expression pedal to change the rate, any recommendations? Zach
10.
Will this head run at 2 ohms?
No, it won't. I've got one of these, I love it. Great price as well.
 11. How much for a cash sale?
 12. Here's mine:
 13.
What you're saying then, is that all tremolos are the same?
In principal, yes. Obviously you can add loads of features. The Lovepedal tremolo is probably the simplest you can get (just a rate control). Features you could potentially add: Tap tempo Depth Wave form Rhythm selection Ratio (w/ tap tempo) Modulation Probably loads more as well.
 14. Tremolo is just a volume-based effect so it shouldn't be any less effective on bass. The only problem I've heard of with Tremolo pedals is that there's sometimes a volume drop when engaged. You should be fine with it.
 15. Pics or it's a Squier . Only kidding, I've heard they're awesome basses. Congratulations, enjoy it.
 16.
ey up what kind've effects are you after? i'm intrested in the octron
Listening to offers at the moment. What have you got?
 17. How much does the amp put out at 4 ohms?
 18.
How much for the flanger
Trade only as the thread says.
 19. I really like it but I'm not using it at the moment so probably best to move it on. I'd be happy to sell it. Once I'd covered customs charges etc, I payed £95 in total. I'd be happy to sell it on for £90 posted. There's 3 on ebay at the moment, one silver screw (like mine) which is up there for £130 so I think £90 is reasonable. Let me know if you fancy it, feel free to make an offer if you think that price is a bit much.
Hi, So you didn't get on with the CS-1 then? do you want to sell it or is it just trades you want? I only have an OC-2, CE-2, CS-2 or SO400 I could offer up in a trade and I doubt any are of interest to you.
20.
AX10b for the flanger?
No thanks, I don't really have a use for a multi.
