I think that for this application, a simple passive mixer should do the job. It's not an expensive thing to make, so it's gona set you back too much if it doesn't work quite how you want. If you had to add a buffer, it would make the circuit alot more complicated.

Ok, so this is my first post in this thread but not the first incarnation of this pedalboard. I've been playing around with this set up for a while now. There's a few new additions as well. Everything's wired up and on a board which is a first for me. The signal chain goes: Morley Power Wah > Russian Big Muff > Ashdown Hyperdrive > Boss PS-5 > Boss BF-2 > DOD Ice Box > Danelectro Reel Echo > Rocktron Cyborg Reverb > DHA DI-EQ > Fender Volume/Tone. I'm going to build a switcher box so I can change the position of the DI-EQ from the end of the chain to before the PS-5 and vice versa. I'll be adding my Guyatone TZ-2 before the Big Muff and I'll be getting some new pedals (tremolo, envelope filter, possibly a phaser). I'm changing the Reel Echo, for a Pharaoh Echo Jr. The Danelectro is for sale here. Anyway...sorry for all the rambling. Here's a picture of the board: I'm really loving this setup and I can't wait to add to it. Has anybody got any tips, thoughts, recommendations, opinions etc ? My signal chain sounds pretty good as it is but could probably do with one or two changes once there's been additions. I've only played with this board through my practice combo amp so far but it sounds great. It's surprisingly quiet which has pleased me to no end, I have a profound fear of hiss and buzz . A quick word on the DHA DI-EQ...AWESOME ! I love the Power Wah into Russian Muff combo and with the octave up from the PS-5, I can get a great lead guitar tone . In terms of wiring, the order keeps changing so it's pretty messy at the moment. Once I've decided on a more definite signal chain, I'll tidy up all the wiring but I'm happy with it for now. I'll write another update as soon as it's changed .

Loop pedal with momentary switch
gnasher1993 replied to bassplayer88's topic in Repairs and Technical
Something simple like this would work: http://www.beavisaudio.com/techpages/Pedal...LooperNoLED.gif You can get a 2PDT momentary switch quite easily. If you want an LED, it means the circuit will be passive and require a 3PDT switch. I'm sure you can get a momentary 3PDT switch but I would imagine they're quite expensive. -
No its gonna need to be quite a fast trem and I want it to be a sine or at least a tri lfo wave so no good but thanks for your kind offer.
No problem, I wasn't quite sure what you were looking for. I've got the Tremulus Lune schematic and the EHX Stereo Pulsat schematic.

I could make you a simple trem pedal if you wanted. So... every time you press the switch down, the signal drops. So it's kind of like a manual tremolo, pretty cool for some rhythmic effects. PM me if you're interested.
I was wondering if there was a cheap blend pedal on the market, I want to use my EH Big Muff more but would like to be able to blend fuss with a clean signal.
I could build one for you. PM me if you're interested.

*SOLD* Acoustic Image Focus 2 for sale *SOLD*
Hey gnasher1993- The manual says it puts out 350w into an 8 ohm load. In practical terms I've used the head paired with an Epifani UL112 cab or an Aguilar GS112 (both 300w rating) and never had it past 5 on the master volume when playing with a drummer and guitarist.
350w sounds perfect. I was thinking of getting an Avatar 112 that's rated at 500w at ohms. So it should be ok. I'm seriously considering this one. -
Hey gnasher1993 - thanks for the interest. Tone wise they are the same, as they share an identical preamp. I used to have a Coda combo, which has the Clarus as it's amp section, and the Focus is identical is sound and function, only with more watts.
I'm gona have a serious think about this one. Thanks for the information, AJ -
