Here’s my USA Lākland case containing my 2016 44-64

You make a very good point my friend.👍

I am getting a bass delivered to me today. It is a 2004 American Jazz with polyurethane finish. I have read conflicting viewpoints as to the necessity of not opening the box for 24 hours after delivery to let the bass acclimatise to the temperature change. I believe it is more relevant not to unbox if the finish is nitrocellulose but not so vital if the finish is polyurethane. Any thoughts on this folks?

I would normally say black but the reverse headstock seems to need cream.

I have been a member since the Bassworld days before we became Basschat. In all these years I have only experienced good advice, helpful and informed answers to queries, useful tips, great buying and selling, and good humoured banter amongst the community which is an important part of my daily living. Thank you everybody and long may we reign!

I was thinking about subscribing to the new Bass Review Magazine. I had looked at the website at the weekend and was sure that the subscription for a paper copy delivered to your door was £5.99. When I went back to the website today I notice the price is £6.99. My ageing memory may be failing me but I wondered if anyone else can throw light on the pricing.

The answer was on the screen right in front of me. It was about serial numbers. Please be gentle with me I am an OAP.🤣

I made a mistake in posting an enquiry for which I knew the answer, I just didn't know I knew the answer. Where's that whisky?

I am wanting to source a pickguard for a jazz bass. The fender colour is parchment. I am finding guards described as white and cream and am wondering if cream is parchment as opposed to white. Can anyone throw some light on this. Thanks.

Mine too. I’ve been waiting for a while for one to be available. Very pleased to have got this rather nice example.

Just picked me up this rather nice 2006 Butterscotch Precision.

I have just had a very pleasant transaction with Jon who bought a Comfort Strapp from me. A thoroughly nice gent who is a credit to the forum.

Sold a couple of sets of strings to Rod. A thorough gentleman and a very pleasant transaction was enjoyed.

I have for sale a brand new, never been worn, genuine Comfort Strapp for sale. The tag is still attached to the strap. This is the extra long version which adjusts at both ends and is 42" - 54". The measurement is taken from the innermost set of holes. The Pro Bass Series Strapps consists of a wider design through the shoulder area, providing added support for the typically heavier bass instrument. I am asking £25.00 which includes postage to the UK.

I was once told that anything over 25 years old is vintage. I reckon that my Ibanez at 42 years old could fairly be described as vintage.
