1.
Dont forget you dont even have to come on here to read PMS, so there is no easy way to tell if someone has read the message or not. If you get email alerts its all in those so some people might forget or not bother reading them again on here.
I think this is true. What bothers me is that some people do not have the courtesy to reply to a pm when they have been asked something in particular.
2. Thanks for the replies chaps. I'm not so sure about yours Wayne - gave me a laugh tho'. :-)
3. When a pm is sent to a fellow bass chatter do they receive notification by email. The reason for asking is that I have sent a few pms and haven't received a reply. When I go to view the pm the receiver has not read it and yet they have been logged on to the forum plenty times.
4. Mark is a great guy. Deal with confidence good people of basschat.
5. I would love this bass but as I don't have the cash I could only offer a trade. I already have the AV 62 Precision reissue from the same period and know that they are fantastic basses. Someone should hopefully snap this up as it is a great bass at a great price.
6. I attended a gig recently in a well-known local pub venue. The place is not large and yet the band I was there to see thought they were in Wembley. I had to leave as my ears were sore quite apart from the fact that I couldn't "hear" the band. The sound coming from the stage was just a cacophony of noise. Bands have to realise that LOUD isn't always best. I wonder if you all went home after your gig and had a good night's sleep with no loud band playing next door. There is a reason the landlord gets complaints. Is it really so bad to turn it down.
7. Thanks for the replies folks.
8. I have a G&L USA JB-2 which is marvellous. I got it after owning a MM 3eq Stingray. The Ray just didn't cut it for me and had that old famed weak G. I also felt that the G&L had better build quality. I was very disappointed with the Ray as I had hoped that it would complement my MM SUB which is a great bass.
9. Are you considering any trades?
10. It may help your sale if you offer to ship the bass.
11. The p bass must have gone as it's only the strat that's left.
12. It was indeed Vernie Robbins.
13. I've had my TU-2 and TU-12 for many years and they have never let me down. Great tuners!
14. I am having to replace my Tascam BT1. I was simply going to get a BT2 and then noticed the GB-10. Has anyone got any thoughts on the pros and cons of these two pieces of kit?
15. To be fair to iiMusic I have had a pm from the boss of the main branch in Edinburgh who is a basschatter. He made profuse apologies and didn't try to offer any silly excuses. He has also taken steps to rectify the situation with the Aberdeen staff and so hopefully things will improve. So fair play to the guy for taking on board the criticism and doing something about it. I certainly hope things improve as we're a bit short of decent stores up here.
16. I was in iiMusic in Aberdeen with my son today. He had enquiried about a pedal a few weeks ago and they said they would phone him when they got it in. No phone call since so you can imagine his surprise when he saw the pedal in the shop today. However, still wanting to support his local shop he asked to try out the pedal. The shop guy said he couldn't as a guy was about to play an acoustic set in the shop. So here we are in a holiday weekend with the city heaving with folk - a retailers paradise. But this shop chooses to be a venue in the middle of the afternoon. Do they want to sell or not? I wonder when the 'closing down' sign will appear in the window. Needless to say the online route is now being considered.
17. I'm afraid your link doesn't show any pictures of the bass.
18. Have a look at the the article below. I don't know however how big an instrument is allowed. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/aviation/9662516/Musicians-have-won-a-major-victory-over-airlines.html
19. I have one of these newer Jazz basses and they are superb. This one is in immaculate condition and has obviously been well looked after. The asking price is outstanding and surely attract someone who is looking for a Jazz.
20.
I have a Squier Bronco which I think is excellent for the money. I have also played a Hagstrom HB-4 which was very nice and well worth a look.
I notice that there is currently a Hagstrom HB-4 in the for sale pages. I know that it is a bit out of your range but it is well worth considering and making an offer. These basses are just short of £500 brand new. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/227846-price-drop-l280-hagstrom-hb4-34-length/

22. Early 80s Fenders are just so nice. This Jazz looks very tasty. Good luck with the sale Nigel.
23. Oh, I see now. The photos you have posted are not of the actual bass for sale by you. I understand now. Normally people post pics of the actual bass for sale.
