It's great to hear that you are still part of the community here on Basschat David. Keep well my friend!

Tasty.
Are the pick ups both switchable split coils on that one. ?
Dave
They are indeed Dave. If you look very closely you can just see the switch on the control plate.

Sorry to be thick but what is ATB?

I don’t see why the Gallery don’t simply remove a bass from the website when it’s sold. Bass Direct remove items quickly once they are sold. As I said before I suspect it’s just laziness.

I enquired about this weeks ago and it was sold then! “Ah yeh, sorry we haven’t updated the website” 🤦
I’ve been looking into a status neck for a while for a bitsa project and read comments about ‘sustain’ etc but I see that you actually drill through into a block of wood in the heel! Doesn’t that make it a wooden neck wrapped in graphite??😀🤷♂️
I can’t be bothered with shops that are too lazy to update their sites. I’ll not be perusing the bass gallery in the future. Enough time wasted as it is.

It's all now academic as the bass was already sold and just hadn't been marked as such. Not to worry. There will be something around to tempt me before long.

I couldn't possibly comment.🤐

The Status website says they will accept orders for necks, although the OP seems to be looking at a bass with one already fitted. You are absolutely right. I am looking at a bass that already has the neck installed.

The quality will be top notch, but they only make 3 - Jazz, Precision or Musicman.
Which are you are after ?
I'm looking at a precision which has a status neck fitted. Many thanks for your reply.

I was wondering if anyone could offer any thoughts on replacement status graphite necks. Thanks.

Wayne punkdude is still around, I see him on some Fb sales pages and musicians groups. There’s quite a few names that have come up in this thread that I’d forgotten all about! I remember Xliddx pretty well, could be pretty robust when debates got heated. Also remember the fact that he wore gloves when playing and owned a Warwick Chrometone Streamer. I remember Billbass or billonbass(?) he lives not far from me, he probably left when he got the Rag n Bone man gig. He’s a monster player and a really great guy too
Xliddx (Nigel) is one of my Facebook friends. He is a really nice guy and gigs regularly as Covid allows. It's a shame he's not on here any longer.

Are Barefaced still going?
I hope so. I’m expecting delivery of a Two10s in the next month or so.

Lysdexia
Great photos and advertise for any of his sales. Had two 'deals' with him - great guy, full of enthusiasm and humour. One deal he came to my house, the second he asked if I could approach his nuclear bunker due to health reasons. Was a lovely trip and great visit.Thoroughly endorse what you say about Lysdexia. Great guy. Pleasure to do business with and a great photographer. My avatar is a detail from one of his photos.

Nice what's its weight though?
It's 9lbs 9ozs. Much more info on the Andy Baxter website from the link above.

I'm local. I could come round with a big stick and stand over you until you learn them.😂

I used to have one of these precisions. They are marvellous basses. The asking price is very reasonable for such a pristine bass. By the way the colour is ‘Ivory’ and not Olympic white.

Pete Cornish is typically somebody that builds your rigs, or custom rigs that you can’t buy off the shelf.
If you’re handy with a soldering iron, what the OP is asking for is fairly standard.Pete is more than happy to make you a cable. I have two Pete Cornish cables for more years than I can remember. You just tell him what you need, he makes it and sends it to you and you pay him. He runs a business part of which is making cables.
